I need help to become a NAVY SEAL.

So I am 16 years old, great grades no criminal record and my asvab score is good enough to do nuclear propulsion. However, back until I was 6 years of age I wanted to be a NAVY SEAL. Essentially it is just an insane amount of endurance needed (100's of pushups a day 5 days a week long runs and 5 mile ocean swims etc) I was doing good in fitness but I hit a rut where I lack energy for alot of exercise. Any tips?

Hi Jweeks94,

Get into weight training and make sure your diet is complimenting your training. Be careful with weight training though, If not performed correctly you can injure yourself. Avoid running until your leg muscles are strong enough to support your knees. It's also important to cross train and always vary your exercise. I know this sounds like basic/standard advice but you would be surprised at how many people don't do it! I should know as I'm a personal trainer and see this stuff every day..

A lack of energy, as already mentioned, indicates a lack of rest/recovery and probably inadequate nutrition.

Bad nutrition can even leave the brain 'sluggish' which can decrease your physical performance since the brain runs the show.
