I need help and information on maintenance, please!

I have lost 31 of my 40 lbs. I'm trying to lose. (My signature says 156, but I'm actually 154. Just superstitious about changing my sig. till I've kept the weight off for a week!!)

Anyhow, I'm starting to think abt. maintenance and I just know nothing about it.

Will I still need to count points, calories, fat, etc.??
How often should I exercise??
How often should I weigh myself?
How should I handle "splurges"?
Is there a source of support for maintenance like there is for weight loss??

You definetely need to excercise everyday so that you burn off what you eat. You will also have to watch what you eat carefully if not you soon will see yourself falling back on your old ways. The diet that I am on has a maintenance phase in which they suggest counting calories and eat perfect healthy food over the week days and indulging not over indulging during the weekends this way you can balance out your calorie intake and not feel like you are sacrificing. As for excercise of course it will be better for you to continue with whatever schedule you have been doing; I have noticed with myself that if I am excercising no matter even if I eat I dont put on wt. I kind of maintain it but everyone is different just make sure you don't let all your hard work go down the drain. You have worked so hard to get where you are it really hurts when you put it back on. I know this because I have done it so many times but invariably end on my old ways so have promised myself that I will not do it this time.
