alright here's the deal...i'm leaving for the beach in about 3 weeks then after that i am going straight to college and i would LOVE to shed some pounds before i go. So what would be the best way to lose as much weight as possible in the next 3 weeks? i would try one of those silly one week fad diets but i know thats not gonna work so please help me out. I'm 18 about 5'4" and 150 lbs. Any advice would be great! thanks ya'll!

Well theres no way to loose alot of weight fast and keep it off. fad diets and pills dont work for long term weight loss. Eating a healthy well balanced diet and cardio is the key to weight loss and keeping it off. a safe target is 2lbs a week(usually a little more in the 1st week)
add more protein to your diet cut back on the white(bread, flour, sugar ect) and processed stuff.add lots of veggies, fruits and whole grains.
try to add some resistance training it helps add muscle that burns more cals.
drink some water 2-3L, cut out fruit juices, soda, juices (like kool-aid) and sports type drinks also cut out the take out, snack foods, sweets....
good luck, any questions just ask :)

the best thing for me ever was working out first thing in the morning before college. Not only is that the best time to work out (before eating in the morning), but it gave me energy to survive some of those 8am classes w/ those teachers that speak monotone and their first language isn't english ... (side note: my 3rd year of Uni, i only had 1 out of 6 teachers that spoke English as a first language - coincidentally, i was in the best shape of my life that year).

thanks for the help! should i be walking at all? i figured that i should walk like 30-60 min in the mornings. also when u said drink 2-3L of water im guessing that means in a day? one more thing...this prob sounds really stupid but what kind of foods have protein? thanks again guys

yea, 2-3 L of water a day :) ... I always had a water bottle with me in class and with through about 1 per class.
No question is stupid ... they all have to be asked at least once, or we would never know the answer, either :)
Best sources or protein: chicken, meat, fish (all low in fat) ... plant protein (often higher in fat): cottage cheese, eggs whites, beans (esp. soy), nuts
