Whenever I do a reverse chunch my ab's just don't burn

Can someone explain what is meant by "contract you abs so your legs come towards you

Thanks

The reason why you're not feeling any "burn" on the lower portion of your abs is because they are primarily slow-twitch and are not sensitive to lactic acid (blood lactate) accumulation. This does not mean that they are not getting worked.

They're basically saying as you bring your knees in toward your face to "squeeze." Remember that if your hip are not coming off the ground, you're primarily working the hip flexors and not the abdominals.

hey thanks man

I've just done a workout and I made sure that my hip was off the ground plus I squezed my abs. Like you said they didn't burn but I could feel them working.

How many sets would you recomeand? (I am 15 and have been working my upper abs for a few months now)

Just keep in mind you really can't seperate your upper abs from your lower abs when working them, they pretty much have an all or none thing going on. You can give an emphasis to one portion over the other but you can't isolate the intersections.

I take the once you can get over 12-15 reps no problem try and add some weight. I think about 6-12 sets of 8-15 reps over the course of the week is plenty enough.
