I love juice, you love juice, we all love juice!!!!

I totally feel you on the cravings! I'm not doing a juice fast/detox but I'm on a strict eating plan and the last couple days I just lay in bed at night fantasizing about all these different foods- burritos, pizza, stuffed pasta, sushi... you name it I food lusted after it lol. It's seriously insane how much of a mental game it is. I'm proud though I've been sticking to my plan and turned down some very tempting things... even one piece! For example, my co-worker brought in home-made sushi and I was like its not even that bad what harm could one piece do? But I made a commitment to stick to this plan, its as much as test of will power as anything.

Staying strong and knowing your being true to the goals you set for yourself is so much more satisfying than any food! When I do have a cheat meal, which won't be for a awhile, it will be planned, and it will be epic... probably sushi haha! Love it. Although some wild salmon sashimi fits into my meal plan so I may be hitting that up sooner!

Stay Strong!

I think i have never been able to resist a serious craving, it's just too painful!, luckily for me i only had 1 serious craving on a while.

I do miss pasta, but i suppose that with a good diet one shouldn't have more than slightly desires of eating bad things.

I have come to the extreme of actually dreaming about me eating unhealthy stuff, then i awake and realize it was all just a dream... and i feel relieved, because i didn't broke my diet! I actually like those dreams... all the fun of eating without actually doing it! :sifone:

@ Athala

LOL! I totally know what you mean. Dreams are a perfect escape - all you can eat, no gain. I love pasta... soooo much. Total temptation for me. It's really hard to learn moderation. But we diet not because it's a phase, but a life style change. We have to re-learn what it is to eat healthy and in the right quantities. The hypothalamus is responsible for controlling appetite, and by doing this juice fast, I hope to "reset" it.

@ slickzchiks

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words! So nice to have people to bounce off of. It helps me stay focused and not fall of the wagon. I hate disappointing people. It's truly awesome to have a community like this for support.

Work is SUPER hard for me too. I sit close to the cafeteria. Nothing gets me going like a basket of fresh fries. Oh lawd.

I love juice but not that much lol! I hope you succeed and show as all what can be done with lots of determination! :)
Good Luck!! x

I think the best course of action when dealing with cravings is to NOT THINK ABOUT THE FOOD. Because if you do, you will start making up excuses and eventually convincing yourself. and as soon as you taste the food you will enter on an eating frenzy and nothing will stop you.

It has happened to me hundreds of times. :willy_nilly:

Now, this may not be easy to accomplish if you are anywhere near that food, but if you do, then the only way you can fail is if you lose motivation.

Once you get on track, is considerably harder to fail.

Take care! :smash:

Day 5:

Hotdogs... I have been craving hotdogs (tofu dogs) like a starved beast. White fluffy bun, minced onion, relish and mustard. *starts gyrating on the floor*

Ah, but in all seriousness, I really hope the cravings lessen. My appetite a weakened, which is a plus. But I still feel that emptiness and desire to want to fill it.

My headache is nearly gone, but my tongue is filmy and tastes funny (detoxing still). I'm thinking I need to go to bed earlier, to really get things moving. Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a night owl. We'll see how this works out.

My juice was a lot more green, with a lot of beets (blood purifier). But yikes was it hard to keep down. Only 55 more days to go...

Oh god I want hotdogs

@ AthalaRanger

Very true... It's kind of like setting yourself up for failure when you tempt yourself. I will have to work on that. You're a pretty wise dude. :hurray:

Hows it going? Hope you didn't have 'Day 5 fail' like me :) Even if you've stopped the juice fast, you can still eat ridiculously healthy.

How much weight have you lost?

I hope everything is okay, you were reporting every day...

Even if you failed, you are always welcome back, no shame on failure.

Quote time! ;

Looking forward to your return. :)
