I haven't posted in a while but here's my progress!

What are your goals? If you want to gain muscle (I just assume because you are pretty define, but lack bulk, IMO), you need to do like this:
http://training.fitness.com/fitness...p-food-step-step-instruction-karky-36282.html
and eat. :D

Yes, I think you're right I do need to build muscle, the only thing is; don't you find you feel lack of motivation when you eat loads, ok you are getting bigger musclurly, but you also gain fat!

I.E is it REALLY so much more effective for building muscle to be eating those extra calories instead of eating just enough?

How much time passed between picture 1 and picture 4, Mr rotor rooter! :)

Its good to see you posting again, man!

Dependent on the amount of time passed, I have some straight talk coming your way.

Can you down size your pics, your making my lap top in my kitchen convulse and have seizures. :)

Best regards,

Chillen

I meant the ones in your original post, young man.

And, are you going to answer my question?

Best wishes,

Umm.. well, :-

I haven't been training so well between the 3rd and 4th picture , training has gradually been less of a routine and more just doing weights/running whenever, I've still been pushing quite hard when I do though, I still never eat/ have eaten in my entire life Mcdonalds or any of that **** though and I'd say my diet in general is not superb in that I eat a lot, but I'm always conscious of what I'm eating so it's (mostly) just a lot of the good stuff.

Thoughts?! :action8:

I don’t mean to come across as rude or anything but I’ll be honest and say that I can’t see any difference at all in the pictures, it’s like you’ve just changed clothes and taken a new picture. If you want to add muscle then you’ll need to eat more; there’s no point in training if your body doesn’t have the necessary materials available to build

Take the second set of pics you posted in the other post, and paste them into your FIRST post, so it will fit the majority of screens better.

Understand what I am trying to say?

Then you can just delete the other post, if you wish to.

Best wishes

Chillen

Well perhaps the lighting is different in the photos, You can see from the pics that my pecs look bigger, I'd certainly say that at least

hmm, I guess I am borderline offended in that there is clearly at least some progress, I know I am not doing everything perfectly, which is why I ask assistance.

Please, some constructive critisism?! and yes... I know you can say "well what I said was constructive, I told you to eat more", just keep in mind that telling me my progress is pathetic is not as good as telling me how to do so in the future... :)

If what I said offended you then maybe the internet isn’t the right place for you, what I said was pretty nice IMO. The truth of it is that you obviously aren’t eating enough to gain muscle and if you aren’t eating enough then all the advice in the world about training isn’t going to count for anything so go work out a diet plan, read the link Karky posted and then post up your current training plan and your future nutrition plan including daily calorie intake and then ask for advice on how it could be improved

Tell me something, my friend.

In your journal last year, I posted a lot of information to assist you. From this information, tell me what you did with your diet between June 2007 and January 2008 (covering the time of the journal).

What part of it did you put to practical use?

What did you determine your MT-Line to be? How did you construct your weight routine?

How have you improved your education on diet and fitness since that time to continually improve yourself?

Here is the journal:

http://training.fitness.com/weight-...-fat-should-i-lose-i-have-pictures-25515.html

And here is another thread I provided some assistance:

http://training.fitness.com/journal/juicyrooter-s-diary-28027.html#post222712

You should know me, JR. I have good intentions in what I am about to write. Honestly, my friend, I would be very discouraged with the lack of progress from June 2007 to January 2008, if I in fact trained consistently and persistently during this period, and applied some of the basic information that was furnished last year. I am just being honest, JR. I may add, that a person who trains regularly, can tell if one has in fact trained "regularly" for 6 months--even IF progress was not optimal.

You MUST change things, young man. Because progress is not up to what it should be in the time span you indicated.

You wanted an honest answer, I provided it.

Now what are you going to do?

Best wishes,

Chillen

Well.. I can tell you that hearing this is bringing the exact same feeling when a teacher tells you that the 2 weeks you spent doing a particular coursework has been done completely wrong.. :(

... although, instead of turning this into sadness I am turning it into anger, which then turned into being constructive

I just spent the past couple hours redoing my gym, so I now have a sound system and I intend to order a barbell bar which can hold more than 50 KG limit as I feel as if this has been limiting me a little.

Although you can say "well redoing your gym ain't gonna do ****!", it represents something bigger.

----------------

I WILL PERSEVERE AND SUCCEED!!!

----------------

My goal

To be bigger, I don't quite know what is a realistic weight to gain by the end of November, you tell me and I'll do it!!! :sport:
and if you truly believe I've only a small amount of fat, (I thought I was a bit fat!)- then bulking is the answer!

The Questions

1. Am I truly not fat ?! :D

2. How much weight can/should I gain by the end of November?, I can spare as much time as necessary (well.. I do have college but, ya know, enough)

3. Is this ok food or is it a small amount of calories?

Today I had..

2 Soft Boiled eggs and 1 piece toast+ margerine

Some bio Yoghurt

Fry up with 3 eggs, lots of Quorn, Quorn grill thing and a veggie burger (maybe bad? - although it did work out as about 50 Gs of protein and low fat as it's quorn)

Apple

Protein shake

------------

Chillen, I really did and do take into account what you say, I remember my MT was around 3300 but perhaps my problem is with eating enough, I don't like feeling fat, but if It means I'll get bigger, then I'll go through with it..

And trust me, I feel very discouraged, but I have turned that around to positive energy to do things right this time, from now till the end of November will be a test of this. However, I still am not aware of what food to eat other than food that is 'High protein', although I do have a large variety of food (I hate speaking down on this), I am vegetarian... as in pure vegetarian I.E no fish/chicken and I REALLY don't want this to be a problem, I want to proove to people that it is possible to be big on a vegetarian diet.

So please, tell me what exercise to do, how much and how often and I WILL do it... make it as hard as you like.

The only thing that may get in the way is that I don't eat enough at college because they only have chips ("fries") and pizza, pretty much .. so I just have a coffee and a yoghurt usually between the hours of 6:45AM - 4:00PM, then I eat fairly heavily, things like a large bowl of home made musli with lots of nuts etc

I hope you've not lost faith!

P.S I also took some better photos as of 28th OCT 08

Well, despite being slapped around a bit by the guys here, I think you look pretty good :) Not too many bruises :p

But we can always improve, and if you want to succeed, you have to know what your plan is first and then execute it ;)

It's not easy, but it's a heck of a lot easier for a guy to lay down muscle than it is for a girl ;)

That being said, go kick some serious exercise butt!

lol.. I just lifted big and my stomach feels ripped (in the bad way!!) :D

That's the best way to take it, nobody wants to be mean on here but sometimes you need to hear bad stuff to motivate you to improve. Everyone on here has gone through a period of training where they've got an ingredient wrong and had results suffer, a bit of truth is what real friends will give you

1. You're not fat
2. By the end of November? Not much, maybe a lb or two but nothing significant, you need to look more at 6 month goals to notice significant muscle growth. Concentrate more on lift progression than measurements; if the lifts keep going up then the muscles will grow
3. That doesn't look like nearly enough food. Eggs only have 7g of protein and about 80-90Kcals in them each so if that's all you're gonna have for breakfast then have more of them and maybe try and add in a couple more proper meals

P.S I also took some better photos as of 28th OCT 08

The new pictures are better and show more development, now get eating and add some more bulk :D

Yea, you're right and since hearing that my progress is not sufficient, I am pushing just that extra bit :D

Well, let's call this Novemeber the current goal, I do intend to continue after though.

Anyway I'm off to do some weights. :jump1:
