Thats it- Thats just IT - I HAVE OFFICALLY HIT MY LOWEST POINT. HOW THE HELL DID I LET THIS HAPPEN. IM SO ANGRY AT MYSELF I COULD CRY.

This time last year i was 15 and a half stone, not in any way skinny and still very overweight but i managed not to want to jump in the river everytime i looked in the mirror. And now here i am 12 months lateR 17 stone and waddling around like a hippo. Im so ashamed of myself.

Its been a stressful 12 months, we bought our 1st house, decorating it etc, but thats no excuse for the state ive let my body get into. Im 4ft 11 so theres no way in hell i should be this weight

I will do this. This forum has helped me before and im praying it will again, i just have to not let myself get back into dirty habits.

Its now or never, because we had to sign our wills the other day and thats pretty much your whole life down there on those 3 pages, im only 24 , and if i keep on the way i am i doubt ill reach 30

Now that the rage is out, take a slow deep breath and clear your mind.

Now focus.

First, stop attacking yourself. You have to raise your inner image before fixing the outer one. Are you overweight? Ok, now work on fixing it. That weight doesn't make you who you are though...write down 10 nonphysical related items you are proud of in yourself.

Now, get your food diary going and let us help you up out of the hole. We have (or like me are currently in) the hole as well...and we know the way out.

tried the 10 things, could only think of 1:( but its hard to see the good in yourself most of the time as i know:)

I started my food diary this morning and i am going to get a blender and start making my own smoothies and soups:) I remember when i was dieting before and it didnt feel like it because i enjoyed it, i dont know why i let that go:reddevil:

I will do it this time:) thanks for the kick up the bum:seeya:

Hi! I'm so sorry you're feeling so bad about yourself. I hope things start to turn out for the better soon. Guess there's really nothing easy to losing weight, unfortunately. You just have to work and work at it... how long though? For life? I guess it really is a lifestyle change. Let me listen to that too. I'm a yo-yo dieter :(

I am positive you have more than just 1. you bought your first house? cool! How did you decorate it? Did you do it yourself (gees, there is something right there..isn't it? :p)

Remember that it's not dieting, you need to look at changes you can make in your own life. It can't just be a change for now. You want to make smoothies and soups. That's great occassionally but always think about how you will eat and live 5 years from now.

You can do this.

Thank you:)

Small goals are the best kind. I'm sure you can lose the weight you want by your anniversary! I wish you the best of luck!

Oh, by the way, where did you get that survey from? I just love to do surveys:) Can I use it for my journal?:)

Hey Irish_Gal,

I am started my journey today. I am 28 5'1 185lb.. I have gained 40 lb in last 2 years.. I really let myself go... this year is going to be different... this year we will have to do this. stop being miserable and lets do this.... I just started my diary, so lets support eachother and do this... I know we can do this...

day 4

since i started this diet my moods really changed, even my partners says ive been happy all week, singing away to myself and things like that:smilielol5: also have not gotten any stomach pains or painful bowel movemts which was happening a lot.

It's great to see you are experiencing good moods and happiness. It really helps this path when it's joyful.

ya i am experiencing very good moods, just happy for no reason. feel so much better in myself. must be true what they say a bad diet makes you feel depressed because my moods very much changed

S h o c k e d

I got some chicken breasts in the shopping- have one on now for dinner- i weighed it (210g) and its OVER 400 CALORIES!!!!

BLOODY HELL!!!

Just wanted to come on and say hi. Your story hits me because I started to lose weight a couple years ago and had lost 60 pounds. Now I have gained back 40 of it and I'm really angry at myself as well. I don't know why I stopped either, back into old habit I guess. Easier to do nothing than to keep trying I think is what it was. So now I almost have to start completely over.

I hadn't reached my goal and I really want to this time. I had forgotten how horrible it felt to be bigger. When I put on my jeans I feel like a sausage. So tightly packed in there, and it doesn't feel good! That, and I only have one pair of jeans that fit now, and I definitely will not go shopping to get bigger sizes, so I have no choice but to lose weight!

So I wish you the best of luck, and hopefully we can support each other through this because we've both lost and gained back and this time we need to lose it for good :)

im on my diet a week today. feeling great and healthy- sleeping much better and resisting temptation where ever i go. v proud of me:)

weigh day tomorrow- lets hope for a big loss the 1st week *crosses fingers *

Even if it is 1 pound, you have to feel good about taking the steps to change. Please don't be disappointed if it isn't a huge number, any number going down is a good number. We are proud of you and remember, be proud in yourself.
