I always said I wouldn't be one of those girls who got into a serious relationship and gained all kinds of weight buttttttt.... I sure did. My fiance and I have been together 18 months and I've gained about 30 pounds. I am 5'11" and 208 pounds. I'm using my wedding as my motivation to get atleast 40 pounds off! Problem is... we're getting married in a little less then 4 months... Is that even doable? March 30, 2012 is the big day! I would be happy with losing any amt of weight but 40 lbs is ideal.

Anyways, I was talking to my best friends boyfriend who recently lost 120 lbs and he said that having a food diary on a weight loss forum is a HUGE help... he said there was nothing that kept him motivated like it. So I'm giving it a try!

December 5th, 2011

Breakfast: Coffee with fat free milk and a banana.

Lunch: 1/2 italian sub (365 calories) and salad with fat free dressing.

Dinner: Small pork chop and boiled squash (yummmm!)

It was rainy outside and I don't have a gym membership so I am going to try to just do some excercises in the living room with my 8lb weights and resistance band... Any suggestions for the resistance band for my shoulders (specifically the armpit fat that hangs over a wedding gown) ? Thanks!

Ps. I know a wedding shouldn't be a reason to starve yourself and change yourself, but its definitely motivation for something I've wanted to do for about a year!

OMG! This sounds like my story, partially! My fiance and I have been together for about 18 months, getting married in June 2012. I gained about 30lbs after we got together. A case of "happy weight"lol. Anyways we got engaged last June and I kept telling myself I'd lose weight for the wedding. Well that wasn't working out to well. My fiance always tells me he loves the way I look. So I had no motivation. I'll be graduating in May with a degree in Criminal Justice and want to become a cop. There's a pretty tough fitness test that goes along with that, that I couldn't pass if I tried if I took it now. Here's where my motivation came in. I don't want my weight to keep me from my dream.

Sorry went on a bit of rant there. Anyways I started caloried counting last week with exercise and lost 3lbs!

It seems the wedding is motivation enough for you! If that's a pic of your dress it's really beautiful!

I just found my wedding dress on Saturday, It's so pretty! I never thought I'd really love my dress (I'm a bit of a tomboy), but I just fell in love with this one! Once I figure out how to block my face out I'll post a pic on my diary!

You did great for your first day! Keep it up! This place will give you lots of motivation and encouragement. As well as be here to help you through when your struggling. :)

Good luck with your goals!!!! Arrgh getting married was soooo stressful for me... I lost about 7kgs about 6 months before the wedding, but all the stress and everything got to me and I gained like 9kg back. I was so mad at myself, lucky the dress I ordered had a corset back so it still fitted!!!

You should be able to lose a significant amount of weight in 4 months, just make sure you're eating enough so you don't end up bingeing... Also make it something you can stick with, so you can keep the weight off after the wedding too!!!

Congrats
