I Got A Spare Tire!!

I'm a big boned guy. My problem is I have always had a larger chest
(man boobs) I can't stand it anymore along with the spare tire in my stomach. I feel comfortable talking about it here. My main goal is to loose the stomach and flatten the chest. I use to do a lot of bench pressing and it didnt really seem like it helped, but that just me. Probably did help. Can I get some pointers on getting rid of this flab? Those are my main concerns, because the rest of my body is ok, but it still needs work. Its mainly in my stomach and chest.

running/jogging

you need consistent and varied cardio, you gotta sweat off any excess fat im afraid.

bench pressing will increase chest muscle which will in turn burn more calories but without cardio you wont notice much decrease in chest size.

get a full body weights workout and structured cardio routine, there's tons of people on here who can help so post diet, statistics, equipment/time available etc etc and take it from there.

be open minded and hard working and it'll go; you just need to know how to maximise your time and efforts.

good luck!

PS why bother posting "running/jogging" - chocolate fireguard and all that.

Running/jogging/sweating all secondary to your diet. You need a clean diet or NOTHING will change.

Sounds good. At this point in time I am on my diet. I will not be eating at night and I will begin the breakfast routine. I'm going out for a jog now. I want to see if I feel any different from when I use to smoke. I probably wont notice any major changes considering its only been 7 months, but I might as well start somewhere

I don't know if that sounds like a good diet, maybe browse around the site and cut and paste one in here and we'll take a look at it. You're looking for a high protein, low/moderate carb, and moderate fat diet. 35/40/25, protein/carbs/fat has always worked for me.

To be honest with you I dont know all that much about dieting. I do know a lot about weightlifting, but when it comes down to food. Forget about it. At this point in time I am trying to learn to put the fork down. What I want to do is loose the flab that I have and bulk up my muscles. Like I said when it comes down to eating habits I need to be schooled on that category. Can you give me some ideas I can work with and expand?
