I get shaky and nauseous when I work out.

Hello, I’m new to the forum.

Today I didn’t even get through my warm up (very light warm up on a total gym after a ½ mile run with my dog) and I felt very shaky and as though I was going to throw up. The nausea was so bad I had to lay down right next to the workout area. I’m not in great shape, but I’m definitely above average for a 23 year old. Anyone have some ideas about what this could be? I remember it happening to me when I tried working out in middle school also.
It doesn’t happen all the time, but often. Maybe it is how I am eating? Anyone have some suggestions for pre work out food and how long to wait between eating and working out? Or if you have any other suggestions that would be great also.

Thanks, Jonathan

My guess is that it is either a deconditioned CNS or possibly what you are/aren't eating pre-workout.

Try consuming a whey shake with 1/2-1 cup oats about an hour or so prior to your training.
