I finally achieved the six-packeroo!!

I don't have any before pictures to show but I started a pretty rigorous workout/eating plan before my trip to Belize. Goal... nice abs. I wasn't planning on a six pack necessarily but in this picture of me on my vacation I noticed the lines are there! Stoked : ) I thought I'd share my goal completed. Next goal...killer lower back. Any suggestions on the lower back? I hate deadlifts, I don't know what my deal is but I seriously can't stand doing them...is there anyway around them? Sorry about the big pic, i couldn't figure out the thumbnails. Bye for now : )

I dont like throwing around tons of compliments because sometimes they can sound insincere, but you look amazing! There's not many feelings better than blasting past your goals... good work!

Thanks! Wow, a few compliments can really brighten your day :) I'm gonna thank genetics for part of it, but it does feel good to reach a goal I've had for a while. A tropical vacation can really light a fire under your a$$...lol
 
You look damn fine, Congrats!

Bent over rows with a barbell work the lower back pretty well. Stiff leg dead lifts do wonders for the back as well. Just make sure you have proper form when doing these (as well as any other :p ) motions.
 
Yeah it pretty much is Paradise :) My family and I went for three weeks and traveled the whole country. My favorite part were the islands but the whole country was amazing. That pic, as well as this one, was taken on Caye Caulker. I pretty much lived in my suit and rode that blue cruiser around the island the whole time feeding all the stray island dogs canned vienna sausages...lol. When i wasn't doing that I was snorkeling, eating and basking on the beach. Here is another pic...the image of paradise!

You look great :)

About the lower back you could try some hyperextensions and good-mornings just be careful not to overdo it in the beginning, esp. with the good-mornings.

Hello Mandi-

I would LOVE abs like that, I'm trying to get a six-pack but am having the most trouble with my lower abs. I posted about this problem area and one response was that it isn't possible to spot areas like that. That being said, can you please share how you were able to get abs like that? I am itching for any suggestions/information that will lead my stomach to that place :)

My upper abs are satisfactory, and my lower abs aren't bad, but I can't seem to get rid of the little layer on top of the muscle underneath.
