Here's a little about me:

5'10
365lbs
Type 2 diabetes, PTSD and 2 fractured vertebrae

I've spoken with a doctor and a nutritionist and joined a gym. My blood sugar was out of control and both my doctor and nutritionist recommended that I do a 80% raw food diet so thats what I've been doing and my sugar has dropped from almost 400 with meds down to 120 this week. I'm trying to do 5 days a week 1 hour a day at the gym when my wife can go with me before she goes to work. I stay at home all day after so I need to be more active. I will keep this going this time for my kids and wife.

congrats man! Water weight or not, it was being stored somewhere in your body and now it isn't ... keep it going!

Had a great workout today at the gym and haven't cheated on my diet at all. Only complaint is the battery on my car died so so I had to get a new one but hey I looked at it as extra weight training lol. Anyway haven't weighed myself but I feel lighter and I'm not swollen like I used to be in fact I can fit in clothes I haven't worn in a very long time. :)

hey good luck! :D I know you'll make it :) take care of yourself diabetes isn't easy but I know you can handle it
and congrats on the loss!

Been noticing a big drop in my blood sugar in fact it's starting to look like a normal non diabetic levels. I had such a craving for a hamburger today so I loaded myself on a little extra lettuce and it seemed to go away. I'm actually feeling a little proud of myself for keeping this up just wish my wife would stop eating junk food and other foods she knows I can't have but love in front of me.

Another pound down. I'll take it... Been doing more strength training and feeling a little tired and sore today because I'm using muscles I'm not sure I've ever used before. I'm hoping to have lost enough weight by Thanksgiving that I can buy some new pants and a nice dress shirt so that I will be motivated to watch what I eat over the holiday to keep from gaining.

Still here still working out just find that the more I exercise and eat right the less I wanna sit in front of the computer. I think maybe I should post a few progress pics. I'm thinking of hiring a trainer but I wanna make sure I get one that wont cause me to get hurt or take away from the progress I've already made on my own.

Kinda excited about this week because I got a free working treadmill off craigslist and I can now do more work while at home watching the kids.

Yay for getting a free treadmill! Anything free is great, but getting something that's actually useful is AWESOME!
