I am going to be working hard 8 hours a day. What should I take to maximize benefits?

Hey guys, I am new here but I figured I would take advantage of what this site has to offer. Heres my situation. I am going to start roofing this week and will remain doing so the rest of the summer (hopefully). So I will get lots of exercise and my muscles will get worked out everyday as there is lots of lifting/carrying etc etc. So I will not be working out much as by the end of the day I will be tired right out after eight or more hours a day. So my body will be getting the workout. I am just wondering what everyone would recommend I take as far as supplements. I want to get ripped and build as much muscle as I can (who doesn't?) so I am guessing something with protein or muscle building is a start. But I also need something in terms of recovery and rebuilding muscles and repairing my body as a whole as I will be using my muscles and body day after day. I also want to feel as energized and healthy as I can.

So what kind of combo would you guys suggest for a young man working hard (8-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week) in order to get the most out of the week long workout I will be getting. I wanna look good after all this hard work haha.

Also...I am 19, Male, 6' 2", 215lbs, leanish/athletic...what is the best overall multivitamin you would recommend?

Thanks!

read the stickies. you dont' need supplements. you just need a decent daily diet, and rest. Honestly rest is going to be a big requirement because that's the 'supplement' you need to grow. you don't grow muscles while you lift 50lbs of shingles...you grow in bed at night when you sleep. Assuming you're eating right.

everyone shows up thinking supplements are necessary. if they were, they wouldn't be called 'supplements' but 'essentials'.

In reality the essentials are: eating right, exercising properly, and getting enough rest. if you lack those, no supplement can ever make up for it. Not even a little.

Thanks for your reply. But wouldn't at least something like having extra protein during the day help me build more muscle when I sleep at night?

Its true. Ive heard of some body builders stating that use none of the supplements and shakes they endorse. If you want more protein, its best to use natural sources rather than ones synthesised in a lab. I think nature has sussed out the amino balance just right :)

Just eat more meat and eggs at night.

Eating more eggs and and meat at night doesn't work all the time. I have been takin protein for 7 months already and i feel relly good. As Dweano i'm workin g hard 8 hours per day and really do not have enought time even to prepare food. That's why i decided to took supplements.
