I am curious about tracking muscle gain/loss through lifted weight...

1) If I plateaued where my body won't get any bigger, will I still be able to lift heavier weights but still not gain anything?

I ask this because, I need a good way to figure out if I stopped gaining, and if somehow my body keeps letting me lift bigger but no changes at all...then won't this lead me in an indefinite loop of wasted time? Is this illogical?

2) If I started to cut, but I ended up lifting heavier and heavier even while cutting, does this mean I am maintaining all my muscle mass or gaining some (although would be minimal) or will I always lose strength on a cut and notice my lifted weight decreasing? Or is this another illogical scenario?

I hope I don't confuse anyone.

well, when I started to loose weight I had basically no muscle, so while cutting, I have been able to build muscle mass and contiune to gain strength. I think I'm nearing a plateau as far as the muscle mass is concerned, but I'm still getting stronger.
