Hyperlink ads

Forgive if I missed this earlier and if there is another thread asking about it.

What is with the little green hyperlink ads in the posts now?
They are automatically generated to keywords...

Don't really care, I am aware it is a free forum, just curious about them thats all.

I don't see what you're talking about but I've read others start to complain about them..

what types of words get hyperlinked and where does the hyperlink go?

Does this thread have any?

Interesting. I too don't see anything. If this place turns into spam central though, I'm out.

Ditto that...

I even logged out and don't see any...

Point me to a thread that does have them please...

goto my diary.

Third paragraph starting 'running today'

Running is in green and underlined twice- leading to a hyperlink.

then you are the only person in any type of IT that wouldn't.....

but i appreciate it. :D

Any idea on the ads?

I see the same irritation whenever i'm on any type of Yahoo site... using IE...

I have to have IE for some web based applications at work because Firefox doesn't fully support everything I need... Lemme poke some IE preferences and see if there's a way to turn it off -but knowing Mickeysoft -I doubt it...

What version if IE are you on?

crap....
how the hell am i supposed to know that?

the most recent i believe. with the tabs at the top and all that crap.

I guess we'll have to make everyone moderators.

Seems like a fine idea...... :D

Seriously though- it is kind of irritating because they are all over.
Ill get over it quite quickly but was just wondering what was up with them.

Just for the record, I am using Firefox, and I can see them as well. Started this morning I think....I'm not bothered, just wondered why certain words were underlined in green.

I use firefox as well and I've started seeing them. They generate a little in window flash-type window, with graphics and everything. It's kind of irritating. I could get over it, if I knew like, who was doing it and why. I mean, if it's to raise money, that's great, but no one seems to know why it's happening.
