Hurt my tendon

I didn't warm up enough and strained my tendon during bench press, where my left pec attaches to my arm. I can't do any bench press or pullups with out it hurting but overhead pressing and horizontal pulling are fine. I think it just need a bit of a rest so i am not doing exercises that hurt for a few days. Any advice to aid recovery would be appreciated.

Hey man,
this is an alternative method, but try using Moxa. Its an herbal remedy that you can get online and its fairly inexpensive. Its tightly rolled stick ,kinda like a narrow cigar. You light one end and hold it above the injured area. It helps if you move it in circles above the injured spot. Be careful where you use it because it smells kinda suspect. Its not illegal, but some people might think it is.
A second option is going to an accupuncturist. It can be expensive, but its well worth it. I've been to one several times for different injuries and my recovery time with accupuncture has been quick. Ask the accupuncturist to run the electricity through the needles. Sounds weird, but it works.

compress the injured area to reduce the swelling and wrap it with a support bandage. try an over-the-counter pain reliever if necessary. hope this helps a bit.
 
Thanks for help guys. It is nearly back to normal now and I have done some lifting without any pain, just easing it back into to training.
