How work on your sides stomach

I am a 18 year old male. I am trying to work on my side muscles not sure what you call them. The ones next to you abs. Iv been doing side crunches is that right?

Also most importantly I have embarrassing curves like on a girl. How do I get rid of them. I want my body to go down straight and to stay wide, but not large (fat). What should I do?

Well if you want to get serious and actually do something with your body rather than just working on your obliques, and getting an all around awesome look you either need to get weights for at home, or if you want-a gym membership. Trust me, you will look and feel ALOT better if you were doing full body workouts.
 
If you are trying to shrink your waist, you do NOT want to be working your obliques. We use resistance training to make them bigger, right? Think about it.
 
eating the correct amount of kcalories of the right food and doing correct resistance training will make them bigger.

a male slim waste is dictacted by the upper torso and legs as much as anything else. work on your full body to get better, and quicker, results.
