how to reduce hip size

hi i am new here. i have never joined any gym and i am going to join one very soon. i have big problem with my hips. they are very large i have 30 in waist but 40+ hips size so i get really ashamed when people criticized me. So plz help me how can i reduce them. plz do answer me i am really in need of it
my age is 22 year my height is 5 feet 4 in and i weigh 63 kgs

That is a good weight for your height, you should embrace those hips of yours! If you're uncomfortable do cardio and count those calories! But I'd say that you're size sounds fine to me. And by fine, I mean FIYYYNAH!

Rawan, I understand what you mean about the smaller waist large hips problem, I have 34 waist and 40+ hips. To reduce them, just exercise. Walk, run, swim, bike, whatever you enjoy doing. I'm glad to hear you are joining a gym. Just promise me you won't stay over by the treamills and never go to the weights side. Lifting weights are going to help loose those inches faster than just cardio alone. Find out if the gym has a trainer that can help you learn proper form and walk you through the different lifts.

hi thanks for your advice but tell me what does you mean by (Just promise me you won't stay over by the treamills ) i am not getting this sentence. well actually i am mechanical engineer and now a days i am working on a project so i am afraid i ill not be able to get more time for gym. i have to work for late hours upto 14 hours a day.

I recommend you YogaX, Core Synergistics and KenpoX (If you don’t like to exercise all program) from P90X or some similar exercises where all body (especially hips) are turning.
I think the walking or bike is not very effective for your hips.

You can't spot reduce, but you can do weight lifting exercises that will reduce your hip size.

Work on your glutes with the leg press or leg extension, also work on your leg abductors and adductors. These should help to reduce the size of your hips.

I have very distinct hips as well...

Along with cardio to ultimately shave the excess of your hip area, I would recommend weight training, squats, lunges, dead-lifts, as your legs gain muscle and definition your hips will look more proportionate. I think hips are genetic, however if we are talking love handles, it's a different ball game.

See you're not the only one!
