What you have is an external layer of fat covering your abdominals. I just posted a reply to timmay's thread explaining bf%. You need to get your total bf% down in order to become more defined and see your abdominals. I would suggest doing some sort of cardio 4 times a week, and watching your diet. Good abs usually result from a good diet. Try not to eat any sweets, no junk food, sodas, ect. Eat fresh vegetables and fruits, ect.
