How to fake being ripped?

Hey,

I was just wondering because all the body builders and ppl in magazine get dehydrated or do something to look realy ripped at the time, but obviously not always, I am just curious to know what they do exactly?

Thanx

If your not already at a very low bodyfat percentage its a waste of time.

And it's definatly not fake.. they dehydrate themselves on purpose. That's commitment, that's serious.

They dehydrate and don't eat at all for like 24 hours or something...but they also oil up and use that tanning ish because it brings out the definition more.

You didn't say you wanted to try it, but if you want to look ripped at any occasion for any reason, just get down and do some quick exercises to get the blood flowing to those muscles. They'll looked pumped in no time.

lol PFFT! i did well in english :p

Ok ill say it again. Using my fat caliper i measured my body fat percentage and on my 'suprailliac' i have 6 - 7mm of fat on me. I added 2% because there was proablly an error and it says i have 8.5 - 9% bf.

There lol. So i do have reasonably low bf :)

Ok, I know something about this, having done it for posters and such. This is not something you want to do. IF you are already very lean, and have decent muscle mass (some of which you are going to lose). It's 2-3 weeks of strict dieting, having no energy, and feeling like a pile of steaming shyt. Then, in the last few days, you begin to dehydrate, and deplete all the carbs from your system. The day before the shoot, competition, or whatever you are prepping for, you pig out on carbs, thus hyper-inflating your carb starved muscles with glycogen. Then 15-30 mins before, while in this half-dead state, you do a workout and get pumped up. All for about 2 days of ripped glory.

Don't bother, end of story.
