How to cut baby fat?

I'm 18 and a basketball athlete going to play in college, I'm fairly athletic as far as coordination and quickness and all. I'm tall but I don't have a lot of weight on me. I'm 6'9'' but only about 200-210 lbs on a good day.

This past season I did not play due to a ankle injury and I was forced to sit around a lot, and as a result it seems i've gained the wrong kind of weight and have put on baby fat. I'm definitely not a fat person but I don't have the frame I'd like to have entering the season next year. I'm trying to get back and even better then I was when I played last season (a lot more cut).

So my question is what would be the best way for me to loose the baby fat that I have on me but gain muscle at the same time?

I'm not dumb when it comes to knowing how to stay fit or anything, but I just figured I'd get others opinions on the matter and get new ideas.
