How noticeable is the weight loss after water fasting?

First I just want to say that I have asked my doctor and he says I need to do this anyway. So I'm not fat, just a bit chubby. I wanted to ask, how long does it take for noticeable results? That's just water, no juice, no tea, nothing else just cold water :) thank you

Once you start fasting your metabolism will start to slow down and you will not see as much weight-loss as you might think. Rough estimates should be about a pound per day for the first few days, then weight-loss should slow down.

The results will depend on the individual. There are many factors involved, but ultimately I agree with the last answer that your weight loss will slow drastically after a few days because your body will try to hang on to any excess it can. It is really not a good idea to do a complete fast. You can't keep it up forever so once you do start eating again your slow metabolism will mean you will pile on the pounds. You will likely end up heavier than you are now. The best way to lose weight is to create some healthier eating and exercise habits. You can't take short cuts - you will only end up disappointed. Anything that promises quick fixes is usually a sham.
