How not to lose muscle while doing cardio/HIIT

Hi as I my aim is currently cutting and losig the some fat i've got left I have an important question. I do HIIT 2-3 times a week and cardio 2-3 times a week normally I do the cardio on the days I do full body workouts and HIIT on the other days. What is the best way not to lose muscle whilst losing fat? Other 2 days I rest. thanks.

What type of cardio do you do after weights ?

How long does it take you do it ?

How intense is this cardio session ?

How much protein are you consuming - i.e, any idea of the gram of protein per pound of bodyweight you now consume ?

cardio after weights is about 15-20mins maximum.
I normally jog at about 7-8km/ph

i dont know how to answer your 3rd question im afraid.
 
You need to give your body a reason to retain the muscle mass. That stimuli being weight training.

Its why weight training and cardio training always go hand in hand. Otherwise you'll have a fitness imbalance.
 
I would cut out the cardio and just stick to HIIT. That's more than enough to lose fat if your diet is on point.
