I normally get about 6 hours and feel great on work days, and about 7 to 8 on none workdays.

Peace and happiness to all!

I sometimes wake up due to positions of my arm at night. I wish I can cut my arms off at night when I am sleeping and put them back on in the morning. I have slepped on my right side for about a month and now I am on my left side because my right side has gotten stiff and uncomfortable to sleep at night now (the shoulder/arm)

Sleep on your back?

Damn, I wish I could sleep for 9 hours like a couple of you...I get 7, give or take 20 minutes here and there. I always feel great, but I think that has more to do with nutrition than actual hours rested.

****, I'd sleep 12 hours a day if I didn't have stuff to do. I have, at times.

Consciousness: that annoying time between naps.

I'm pretty surprised at the low numbers some of y'all are showing. I really figured most of you would be getting 8-9. o_O But, it varies. Whatever works.

interesting thread.. I average about 8, currently its about 1/2AM to 9/10AM.

But if I've just done an al-nighter or I need more sleep because of something else, I have been known to sleep for 12-15hrs straight! Also, seem to sleep much "better" somehow when I've been training on the day!

When I'm in a good training routine I need less sleep. Five hours is good, after six and a half I wake up wired and couldn't go back to sleep if I wanted to...

I believe the body needs at least 7 hours of restfull sleep to recover and rejuvinate. Any less the brain and muscle hasn't had time to prepare for the next day and the old myth about sleeping too much (I guess U can if you roll around in bed all day) but usually you won't sleep more than you need too.

I tend to always tend to wake up at 7 - 8am. So just depends what time i go to bed, from 10pm to 4am. But usually 6/7 hours for me.

Yeah even if i get required sleep, i usually feel f*arkin tired all the time. And if i hardly get any sleep i yawn constantly. Whats up with that, especially as i know people who hardly sleep at all and you cant even tell.

Interesting that you should say that, Finn. I was just mentioning in my journal this trend of my need for sleep decreasing as I increase the quality of my nutrition and the quantity of exercise I'm getting. For the last week or so, I've been getting up earlier than I've wanted to.

Thats true ^^

I really do notice, dramatically how much livelier i feel waking up when iv had good nutrition, say the day before.

5 usually less. I have to get up to fish and surf which is way better than sleeping. Not many people have the oppurtunity to sit and watch the sunrise over a crystal blue sea.

Also because I have a young kid that wont sleep long!
