How much calorie you got to eat to lose!

Ok i need to loose at least 40 lbs ... gross i can't believe i let myself go this far... but anyway its done now its time to fix the damage... so

I weigh 176 lbs and i am 41 and i mesure 5.3 so someone told me that i should eat 1,800 just to keep my system going... and when i start to exercise i need to add 300 to 400 calories extra... wow.. that a lots of calories... I am scread to gain weight not loose it... should i eat less calorie then that...I am confuse i go to all kind of site to find my BMR and they all different like on told me 1,567 on other one was like 1,600.. which one do you take .. my god there is way too many info on the internet concerning health and fitness....i could make you go nuts...lol
 
Ok so you said that depending what you do during the day you have to multiply your BMR by some number.... so after i did the calculation if i understand them right i would have to eat 964.37 calories..??? does not seem right??? i use the

1,108.80 68.37 278.80
66+ (6.3 x 176) + (12.9 X 5.3) - (6.8 X 41) TOTAL 964.37

IS THIS TO LOW....LOL

160 centimeters divided by 2.54= 62.99 inches

So BobbyK with all the infor abover you have any clue how many calories i should eat to be able to loose at least 2 lbs a week....??? I have no clue..i find all this very complicated!!
 
well that equals 1708.7 and you have to multiply by how active you are, average is about 1.3 so that would equal 2221.31 ... So to lose two pounds a week you should subtract 500 calories from that...so you need to eat about 1721 a day

You figure this out how? With that formula??? Hum how come i don't get that number...lol
Wow that a lots of calorie in a day dont you think so... 1.3 is what the avreage of activity????

Hum.. in the summer i am more actif, i bike to work so i bike for 1:30 one way in the morning pretty fast and at night when i go back home a bit more relax... so will i keep the same calore...

Oh and what happen you you start loosing weight do you have to recalculate everything over...

no it wouldnt make you gain weight at all, those numbers are pretty close to what i gave you 1721 and 1800 a day are pretty close, and I said you have to multiply your activity level and average is 1.3..... if you exercise than that would go up, so they told you pretty much the same general number range as me

So once i strat to loose weight let see i go to like 160 or 150 do i re-count everythig again to get the right amount of calories?
 
yes the first part of the equation is 6.3 x your weight

Ok which gave me 1,108.80 and then what do i do again...sorry! i ask a lots of question but i want to get this right..

you do what the equation says, Its already all in here and i gave you the numbers already and Malkore even posted a link.... I dont know what else to say
