How Many?

How many sets or reps should I be doing during my workout? for example, how many leg lifts, arm curls? etc. I don arms every second day with abs and then legs on the other days, is that good ?or should I be doing legs and arms every day?this exercise stuff is confusing especially when there are no trainers around.

Winni,

I do 3 sets of an exercise. When I get to 12 reps for each set, I add weight. I also do full body workouts, abs, legs, lats, chest, shoulders, arms.

Currently I do the following workout:

1. Sit-ups
2. Squats
3. Bench
4. Front Lat Pull downs (works biceps just as well as curls do).
5. Behind neck press
6. Tricep dumbell kick backs.

If you want a good book for bodybuilding/weightlifting I would suggest 2:
1) Building the Classical Physique by Steve Reeves
2) Brother Iron Sister Steel by Dave Draper.

Steve Reeves' book isn't directed toward women specifically, but the principles are the same, lift weights, get stronger, the muscles look better. Both books have routines, how to eat, how many reps, sets to do, etc.
