How many workout sessions?

Hey everyone. :cool3: I'm new to workouts and I was wondering how often I should do it. My sessions aren't that long. All I do is pushups, situps, squats and lift weights. For each exercise I try and do the maximum amount my body can handle. At the moment I do it everyday. So I was just wondering how many sessions I can have for maximum muscle growth? Twice a day? Once every two days? :confused:

Help would be appreciated. :)
 
Stick to the resistance training every other day. unless you're on roids and live on protein powder no good is going to come from doing the max your body can take every day.
On the off days, get in some cardio work. Take a run, or find a flight of stairs (local schoolds are great for this, hit the bleachers) and run up and walk down them. Or hop on a bike, swim, anything!
 
you need to structure your workout well also to answer your question and how many times you should train if your workout is structured then only 3-4 times per week, you will need a good nutrition plan with plenty of rest
