Another horrible day. Overate, didn't go to the gym. I didn't even overeat on good stuff this time; my sister had friends over and there were plenty of leftovers. Needless to say, I still look fat.
 
Another lost day, and I got fired. I can't do anything right.
Why were you fired? Was it simply because the job required abilities you don't have? Or was it something in your behavior/actions that caused you to be fired?
 
I don't know. They wouldn't tell me. I wasn't surprised, in any case; my mother kept asking me every day when I got home if I got fired yet.
 
It's not been great. Not horrible, but not great. I don't think I'm anywhere close to a 500 calorie deficit. I don't look thinner. I don't feel thinner either. I'm afraid to weigh myself.

That's unfair dismissal, and in Australia it is illegal. You need to find out why you were fired, even just to know what you did wrong so you can fix it.

You are in a tricky situation, for yourself to be a positive person you need to surround yourself with positive people. And it does not sound like your family support you at all. It must be hard because you have about 2 months before you go back to College?

Maybe you should take a break from dieting, it sounds like you don't need the added stress of it all.

I've been fired from a job and it's all too easy to let it thrown your entire life into a downward spiral, ESPECIALLY your health! Nip it in the bud now... this is a turning point, not a blockade. My dad says, "In life you come to many forks in the road. Sometimes you go left. Sometimes you go right. But if you're not in control, you're just forked.

Don't get forked.

You do walking on a treadmill right?- I buzz through 45 min w/ no problems. I create playlists on my ipod and walk to the beat of the music (sometimes half the beat, if it's superfast). Then, I just adjust the incline to keep my heart rate where it should be. Give it a try - burns calories really fast and the time goes by even faster.

Hey Kathar, sorry about the situation with the job; it's definitely a bummer. Gotta roll with the punches and keep fighting. Maybe it wasn't your fault? A lot of stores and companies are laying off people to cut down costs to cope with the declining economy.

I would be pretty surprised if you haven't lost any poundage despite being able to tell any visible results simply using your eyeballs and memory. Photographs are much more helpful with comparison. When you see yourself every day in the mirror, it's really hard to see slow changes. People I see everyday often have no idea I've lost weight, but people I haven't seen in a while can always tell. I remember that I could tell 0 difference in the mirror between 210 and 190 and that's 20lbs. Keep working on making a dent and everything will fall into place. It's all about consistency & not giving up.

So, 2 weeks at the same weight right? My recommendation would be to change something up. If whatever you are doing isn't producing the results you are looking for, you gotta alter what you are doing. How often are you visiting the gym?

How tall are you? Most young women would be very happy with that weight. My step daughter is about 5'6" tall and weighs more than that. She has a totally smokin' hot body. (and she has 3 kids)

Why do you feel you are so fat? Why are you so negative about everything in your life? Are you sure it's a weight issue and not something else?
