How is my workout plan?

Workout for lean abs!

Im 5"5 asian, I weigh 141 lb with 22% body fat percentage.

Ive just started working out a month ago, but it wasnt serious just 1-2 times a week. I wanna start doing serious business here, so here is my plan.

Im on a low carb 1500 calories diet

Monday, Thursday, Sunday
Upper body workout, chest, biceps and sit ups, 12 reps 3 sets. Minimal weights as I just started.

Tuesday, Friday
Lower body workout, thighs, legs, 12 reps 3 sets, again minimal weights

Wednesday and Saturday
Rest

On working out days (Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday Sunday), I run on threadmill and burn about 500-700 calories after my weights training.

And I consume more than 100g of proteins each day.


So is this a good workout plan? Will I see results soon enough?

I would advise working out 2-3 times per week and try to incorporate the 5 major lifts of squats ,deads,bench,rows and lunges.

Maybe invest in a pullup bar.....these lifts are not ego boosters.....but give them a go for a couple of months, you will get stronger learn correct form and then re-evaluate

But i assume that my workout plan is decent am i correct?

However it has been two weeks, I dont notice any weight loss, and that is worrisome cuz I thought Id lose some considering my high body fat percentage.


More than 100g of protein a day is enough to avoid muscle degeneration due to calorie deficit right?

I would up the cals and ease off the cardio a little do 3x per week full body aim for a little more protein.

As a beginner gains should come quick.

Weight training and burning 700 cals a day on a diet of 1500cals imho is too much for somebody who as just started out.

At the moment concentrate on packing on muscle...the more muscle you have the eassier it will be to burn fat.
