How bad are diet pills for you?

hi i was wondering how bad diet pills were for u. this this is my second time taking xendrine after a year brake from it and i was wondering is it can possible effect my body build.

just go ahead and take steroids... I would only take protein and creatine. Why do you need the extra pills?? Just workout or run...

wuts the difference between pills and other stuff, they're all generally suppliments, i kinda wanna access the pros and cons on diets pills, its harder for those of us who aren't bless with a fast metabolism to just simply run and eat correctly. Steriods is another thing onto itsself but thanks for ur comment i helped oh so much

Whether you like the way he put it, he is right.

I don't have time right now but i can so you some facts and stats later.

right, im not having a dig in anyway, but

i dont believe what ive quoted above. i do believe it can be a lot harder for some people to burn off excess weight BUT everyone can do it. the key is being clever about it and being best prepared.

diet pills are as much a mindset as anything else; they are not a long term solution. exercise and diet control (not dieting as in weightwatchers etc) put you in a position where you are best able to keep weight off by focusing on being healthy, rather than 'thin'.

i really do appreciate the difficulties for some people; but diet pills are and always will be an ill advised excuse for getting healthy naturally.

we all have to face a certain amount of embarrassment when exercising, irrespective of weights or goals. i personally have far more respect for those people who look like they are struggling the most at the gym but are working their backsides off.

the key problem is that it will take a lot of time to lose weight - everybodys body will react differently, whether you gain weight before you lose, lose straightaway or not at all in the short term.

you have to focus on being healthy - no excuses, a lot off willpower and more work than you think you can possibly do; but it will all be worth it in the end.

i certainly did not have a 'fast metabolism' but have developed it over time through changes in my lifestyle.

good luck!

yeah ur right. just i talked to some people and they made no big deal about diet pills, they talks about it as if it were like a shake, therefore i wanted to look into the pro abd con aspects of it

Diet pills are not suppliments they are drugs mate.

A suppliment is something that is naturally found in foods, like protien, vitamins and creatine, which you should only take if you can't get all you need from your diet.

Diet pills are drugs which are made from chemicals that effect your body in a way they have scientifically been designed to do.

Do you remember Dexedrin, a big diet pill from the 1990's. It, like many diet pills, is an amphetamine derivative. Just like methamphetamine (speed) or methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy). All these drugs (diet pills) place stress on your heart leading to left ventricular hypertrophy and eventually heart failure. Diet pills = not good!!! Research Ephedra and all the drama that went down with Phen phen. No matter how "herbal" or "natural" it may claim to be it is hard on your heart.

If it's the Xenadrine EFA you are speaking about, I would even waste my time or money.

Long term use of diet pills can cause both an tolerance and dependence on them. Tolerance meaning eventually you will notice them working less and less and need to take more to see the same results. And dependence meaning you body would rely on that extra stimulation to keep your metabolism boosted. So in a sense yes you could say that they disrupt your metabolism.
Example being if you take Stacker 2 or Ripped Force or whatever "drug" and you get that initial "rush", you might feel your heart racing, increased sweating, feeling like you could run a marathon....the more you take it the less you feel that "rush"....that is your body building a tolerance to that stimulant.
Speaking of which....has anyone drank Ripped Force?? I have no idea how that is legal! I had one before I taught a spin class and couldn't get on the bike because my heart rate felt like it was pretty close to 200!!

Look at it this way Dukes - taking diet drugs is like using a credit card. you get your new TV now, but its takes years to pay off. If you save up, its yours and you dont have to worry about it later.

So go natural, control your weight with diet and exercise and get there slowly, plus you'll have done it on your own.

nah i totally understand wut u guys are saying. and the rush thing physique was talking about, i defiantly understand thought xenadrine isn't as quite extreme, i heard hydroxicut was pretty bad. i have no problem dropping the pills like a bad habit, i have been discipline very well. i quit smoking , stopped drinking heavily as well; i do tend to through back a beer/shot or two while chillin but who doesnt, i am off the pill and will go "the road not taken", FYI. i did eat healthy while on the pill excusing a couple of occasions . i do appreciate all the advice and information given and i hope that peole who read this also learn from it as well.

::a lil off topic:: but wow i just came back from Uno's, the restaraunt and ordered a steak and had a couple piece of buffalo chicken. i checked this computer that had nutrious facts on the food and wow i did not know how much fat/ saturated fat there was in both the buffalo chicken and steak, jeeeez man i was so shocked.

the fat content of steak is quite low. most steak fat contents include the think bit of far that runs on the outside and all the fat that melts out while cooking.

Its not good to eat lots of red meat, but if your going to a reaturant then steak is one of the healthest things on the menu. just go easy on the creamy sauces and chips (sorry, thats fries to you yanks)

HAHA yeah nah i don't eat chip or fries from wut i remember it had like 15g of sarutated fat not 100% sure but i was shocked. althought it did have 50g of protein. hmm ugh i dont even feel like eating out anymore. just stay home fore dinner and make my broccoli, with spinach and chick mixed with some sauce
