Whenever I begin dieting and losing weight, I always wonder when and how often to weigh myself and which way is the best to keep me grounded and on track towards my goal.
I've gone through periods before when I've weighed myself EVERY morning and obsessed by how slowly the scale moves. There are other times I've weighed myself once a week and the drawback to that has been that, if it's weigh day and I'm feeling a little fat, I'll just tell myself I'll put it off until tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow, and then I just fall off track of my diet.
Once, at weight watchers, they told me that people who come in for their weigh-in on Mondays tend to do the best because on weekends, when you're more likely to cheat on your diet, you're reminded that you have a weigh-in on Monday and stay more committed, whereas those who weigh-in on Friday have an easier time cheating on their diet knowing that their weigh-in is a week away and they have time to make up for indiscretions.
So I wanted to know what you guys out there think. How do you weight yourself? What works best for you?
