HOT for my Honeymoon!!

It is so annoying when you sabotage yourself. I find that if I ever do that I don't even enjoy the food as I ram it in quickly and guiltily and barely taste it. It is much better to just take one or two and eat them slowly without any shame about what you are doing and really enjoy them.
Congrats on getting straight back on track. I'm sure you will look gorgeous for your honeymoon.

Those are really nice measurements, even more so considering you are 5' 6".
Thanks Derrick! I'm trying to look on the bright side and the measurements help. I think I'd feel a lot better if I didn't have so much loose skin around my mid section.

Great job at turning it around and staying positive Lisa! Work hard this weekend, stay away from temptations and next week will be a fresh start for you.
Thanks Janvier - I'm looking forward to the fresh start this week to really rock it!!

Thanks Ecky - I did enjoy the first two a lot more than the last 8 because at that point I was only going to have two, lol. That's exactly what happens though once you start ramming them in there!!

Hey Lisa, what I love about reading your diary is that you NEVER give up.
You can do it mate, I kow you can.
:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
Thanks Jess!! Every time I consider giving up I wonder where that will take me and I soon realize... no where! Gotta keep going!!!

It was a great weekend!!! I love how for the first time in a really long time I can say that proudly. I even enjoyed my cheat night – and I mean really enjoyed it and don’t feel guilty for once because it was just a cheat night not a cheat weekend for once!! Here’s how the weekend went:

Friday – healthy breakfast, lunch & dinner and no snacking!!! Came home and cleaned the house for about 2 hours and then hit the couch. Thought I was down for the count but got a second wind and started my workout around 9:00pm and that never happens. I did 2 miles on the treadmill, 150 jumping jacks, 150 KB swings, various sit-ups & various strength moves with 5lb hand weights, 20 walk out push-ups & a long stretch – burnt 500 calories. Felt so good going to bed a little hungry after some peppermint tea.

Saturday – woke up and had plans to go shopping with both my sister in laws. Managed to get a quick level one shred complete before getting in the shower. Didn’t wear my HR monitor so I’m not sure how much I burned but probably around 150 calories. Spent about 3 hours walking around Walmart (I never go there but the sisters love it). Then we went to Kelsey’s for lunch and I ordered the Somona Chicken Valley Salad (550 cals) it looked like the best choice and I didn’t have breakfast. Did some more running around in town and then headed home.
Cleaned the house a bit and then had home made turkey burgers and Caesar salad for dinner. We were having a poker game at our house and 13 people showed up. Here’s where the cheat night began. I had an ice cream sandwich for dessert and a strawberry daiquiri. Then we had banana loaf, Doritos, red licorice, caramel corn, brownies, cheese, crackers, pickles & I’m sure I’m forgetting something. Only had 3 alcoholic drinks throughout the night but I went to bed very full and extremely satisfied around 3am!

Sunday – woke up early to clean the house from the night before. Spent about 2 hours cleaning and drank 4 glasses of water and then went back to bed for an hour. When I woke up I hopped straight on the treadmill. Ran 8.2 miles in 90 minutes plus a long stretch and burnt 1023 calories!!! Had some left over Caesar salad but it was pretty soggy so I didn’t eat much and a left over turkey burger patty – no bun and then went back to bed after a shower. Woke up around 4:30pm and did some more house work. Had a veggie salad with tuna for dinner. Did about 20 minutes of ab work on a mat in front of the tv. Snacked on some healthy crackers & ate two sausage bites that hubby had made. Figured the calories out to be 1200 for the day. Had some peppermint tea and went to bed!

This morning I was 149 on the scale so that was really motivating to see since Monday’s I’m usually too scared to even get on the scale and usually if I do I’m back up in the high 150’s. I had a lot of salt Saturday night so I’m hoping some of that is water weight and I’ll be back to 147 with a chance of getting lower for my weigh-in on Friday! Only two weeks to go and I’m ready to work hard everyday!!

Sorry if I don’t get by journals too much this week but I have someone in the office that I’m training so I’ll have to see how much alone time I get. Hope everyone is doing well!!!

WOW Lisa! You are really kicking it into high gear! That's SO awesome to see and makes me feel like getting my own self back in gear!

Thanks for the inspiration today!

Yay Lisa :)

I love that you turn it around so well after any little slip ups - it's very motivating to read your journal and you just really kicked it up a notch with your workouts this weekend - great job :) keep it up!!

Ugh I ate at least 10 which would have been over a 1000 calories worth and I couldn’t believe myself. I wanted to cry. Why did I just ruin all my hard work from the week? I seriously think I am addicted to food and I need to talk to therapist about it.

I have felt this way SO many times! I self sabotage all the time when I am trying to lose weight on my own.
I joined SFL, so I had someone to be accountable to. It helps me.
Glad to see that you can pick yourself right back up!

AWESOME work this weekend! Total motivation for me today. Good work, Lisa! You seriously kick ass!!!
Thanks Sarah! Hope it was the motivation you needed!

Thanks Tig! I even told my sister in law that I might become a little crazy with the workouts because it's crunch time and I'm really dedicated to see 145 before I go! I'll need some inspiration when I get back so I hope you return the favour :)

Yay Lisa :)

Thanks Arianna! I love food but know if I eat the way I want I have to work hard to get back on track!

It's frustrating eh!!I don't think they have SFL in Canada but I try to go to my weekly weigh-ins at WW to keep myself accountable - sometimes it's easy to skip a weigh-in so it doesn't always work.
Thanks for stopping by!

Great work outs Lisa!!!!
Thanks Veronique!

Hey Lisa! Good to see you've been doing well in my absence- YAY 140s! And still there after a weekend, impressive! :D
Hey Luz great to see you!! Thanks for the support! How are you doing??

Yesterday was a great day and I have a feeling it’s going to turn out to be a great week! I’m so pumped I only have one more Monday of work to go and after today only one more Tuesday! 12 sleeps!!! I realize I am pretty happy in my body in the 140’s and only when I think about wearing a bathing suit do I wish I was more toned. My clothes have been fitting great – even a little loose and I’m noticing changes to my body that I know are a result of hard workouts. I’m actually going to wear tank tops and summer dresses on the cruise and not worry about my arms which is so huge for me. Even the stretch marks don’t bother me as much as they used to.

Here’s how yesterday turned out:
B – 1 cup fresh strawberries, 1/3 cup all bran buds, ½ cup 1% milk
L – 1 can Campbell’s Tuscan Meatball with Farfalle Pasta
Snack – ½ scoop chocolate whey protein powder mixed with water
Exercise – 35 min treadmill – 3.2 miles, 200 KB swings, 10 walk out push-ups, 30 girl style push-ups, stretch – 480 cal burned.
D – small tortilla pizza with left over spaghetti sauce, green olives & ff cheese slice
Snack – 4 cranberry & pumpkin seed crisps (only 60 cals!), orange, peppermint tea

149 on the scale again today but I’m aiming for 147 by Friday and then 145 for my last weigh-in. I’m probably not going to see 145 at my WW meeting because it’s always after breakfast and I have to wear clothes but I’ll be happy if I see it on my scale.

You are doing great Lisa!!! I can't wait to see those cruise pictures, I bet you will rock the swim suit!

:jump:!! You are solid in the 140's, girl!! Love it!!! That's FANTASTIC!!! I also love hearing that you are showering with your hubby! Isn't it just great how now you feel comfortable to do the things before you weren't? :beating: It's gonna be a great honeymoon like you said! Your food is great and your exercises are impressive! I can't beleive that you put those together all by yourself. Especially the KETTLE BALL ones! 135 kettle swings is CRAZYYYYYY!!!! :D!!! You are UNSTOPPABLE!!! :cheers2:!

Thanks Veronique! I'll for sure post some pics from the cruise but the chances of me posting a pic in my bathing suit are slim to none, lol!

Isn't it just great how now you feel comfortable to do the things before you weren't?
I can't explain how great it feels. I would have never imagined I would ever be comfortable enough to do that and it's not that I'm just comfortable with him now it's that I'm comfortable with myself! Thanks for the support Alta!

I went out at lunch and bought some new runners! This should give me some extra motivation on the treadmill tonight! I didn't even bother bringing my gym bag today because for the last week that I brought it I didn't end up going. Going to rock another home workout tonight - aiming for 1000 calories again or maybe just 700 - we shall see!

Man I am so far behind on your journal! Tried to catch up as best as I could but I’ve been totally slacking lately on keeping up with everyone. Holy cow your cruise is SOON! I’m so happy to hear you’re getting more comfortable! We should all be confident at any size, and I hope hubby does his part to help you realize that you are a beautiful girl and should be strutting your stuff. You are working out like crazy, so I’m sure that’s a major reason for the snack attacks. Will you be relaxing your standards a bit for the cruise? I hope so, and if you are, just try and remind yourself that cruise calories don’t count, but pre-cruise calories do, haha. :)

Woohoo new runners, how exciting! I always find if I get new exercise clothing/gear it makes me want to get out there and use them more. Not a bad thing :D

Yes I will totally be relaxing my standards on the cruise however I'm bringing my runners because I heard it's free to use the gym so I plan to get a least a good run in each week. They also have a load of physical activities to keep us busy so I hope to burn some calories and not just sit by the pool all day. I bought these new sandals that are like runners so my feet will be comfortable walking on all the islands we stop at - I hope to do some hiking too. I'm going to try and not gain more than 10 pounds!

It really helped last night. My feet felt so light again! I love getting new exercise gear!

Good Morning, yesterday was another perfect day! I have so much energy for my workouts lately and I never feel too sore the next day to do it all again.

Here’s how yesterday turned out:
B – 1 cup fresh strawberries, 1/3 cup all bran buds, Satisfaction yogurt
L – big veggie salad with can of tuna & ff dressing
D – shredded cabbage with ff coleslaw dressing & chopped apple, Schneider’s light ham – 5 thin slices, 1 slice rye bread with mustard, 6 pineapple slices.
Exercise – 75 min treadmill – 6miles, 20 walk out push-ups, 60 chair dips, 400 KB swings, stretch – 940 cal burned. I was planning on doing some sit-ups just after but my sister called and I hadn’t talked to her for a while so the workout was finished at that point.
Snack – 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder, ½ frozen banana, ½ cup 1% milk, ½ cup water, ice – blended. 2 vegetable crackers.

I was 148.2 on the scale this morning so I’m feeling good about being at 147 by Friday. Thursday night I’m going to a yoga class with my sister in law that lasts an hour and a half so I’m looking forward to some major stretching. Tonight I’m either going to do the 30 day shred dvd or get some more miles in on the treadmill – aiming for 500 cals burned.

Yay for new shoes :D Sweet! And oh my gosh that ham, rye, and pineapple sounds soooo yummy. I wish my food logs looked more like yours! Unfortunately I've been having a hard time saying NO lately... :ack2: but I know I'll snap out of it soon. We both seem to go through phases of bad eating habits but we can always get our way out of them!
How is the weather by you? Yesterday and today have been amazing - lots of sunshine! I'm just itching for spring to actually be here! And for summer when I can go for a run outside in a tank top and shorts... love that!
Have a great day Lisa, I'm happy for you! And so excited for you... just about 2 weeks left til the big trip! :D

Your week is looking great Lisa, I love getting new workout gear as well, It just makes you want to workout even more. I have no doubt that you'll be 147 on Friday and 145 (or less) for your honeymoon! Keep rocking this week and maybe do some planning for this weekend to get through it with very few indulgences, it will be worth it because there will be much much better food on the cruise then most weekend treats that we give into, keep that in mind. Keep up the hard work!

What kind of runners did you get? I've been meaning to get myself a pair of real running shoes, but have yet to do it. Always seems like some unexpected expense comes up and takes the money I had set aside for it. I was having pain in my knees in the beginning and the balls of my feet and tips of my toes were blister on top of blister every time I ran. So I did buy some running socks, which help keep my feet drier and that fixed the blister problem. And the knee pain went away after the first couple of months or so - basicly when I started running on the treadmill instead of outside on the rough, uneven dirt roads. But I'd still love to get a real pair - hopefully soon!

I tried inspiring myself to exercise last week by buying a new pair of running shorts, but they ended up being too big. But you guys are right - it did make me want to jump on the treadmill ASAP! once I had them. If I get time I might go check out some other shops to see if they have some smaller sizes. I'm told the other shops will be more expensive though. Oh well...

Hope you are having a great week Lisa!

Look at you go!! You're just motoring along right now - it'll be nice to be able to take a rest and enjoy your holiday (and still sneak in some exercise now and then - I'm excited for you! - No holidays for me for a while so I'm living through everyone elses right now ;))

I bought these new sandals that are like runners so my feet will be comfortable walking on all the islands we stop at

Just curious what sandals you got? I'm always looking for a sandal that's good for walking as I hate wearing my summer clothes with runners (even if I'm doing a ton of walking during a holiday) and the standard sandal or flip flop just doesn't cut it for major walking around.
