HOT for my Honeymoon!!

We both seem to go through phases of bad eating habits but we can always get our way out of them!
How is the weather by you? Yesterday and today have been amazing - lots of sunshine!!
You'll get that eating under control when your counting down the days till you leave! The weather has been okay but it's snowing again this morning and still lots of snow around. I'm hoping by the time we get back some of it will be gone.

Keep rocking this week and maybe do some planning for this weekend to get through it with very few indulgences, it will be worth it because there will be much much better food on the cruise then most weekend treats that we give into, keep that in mind. Keep up the hard work!
I really need to start planning for the weekend because we have plans almost every night. Friday it's a friends surprise 30th and Saturday is a poker game. I'm going to have to keep the workouts up and the snacks down - also lots of water. I'm pretty focused so I can't imagine screwing it up badly now. Planning is key though - thanks for the reminder!

What kind of runners did you get?

I bought the same runners I got last time because I really liked them and they've just gotten worn out the past year. They are Adidas Women's Running Supernova Sequence 3 shoes. They aren't as pricey as some and I feel like I'm running on air in them! I totally suggest getting some new runners!!! They are worth the money.

Just curious what sandals you got? I'm always looking for a sandal that's good for walking as I hate wearing my summer clothes with runners (even if I'm doing a ton of walking during a holiday) and the standard sandal or flip flop just doesn't cut it for major walking around.
I'm not sure the name or brand so I will check tonight and let you know. I bought them at a specialty store that carries lots of running and hiking gear so I hope they are comfortable. I might start wearing them around the house in the evenings to break them in a bit. The worst thing ever is getting blisters with new shoes.

Well yesterday was an okay day. I wasn’t feeling so good in the afternoon and really cravings snacks today. I’m feeling better today and ready to finish the week strong.

Here’s how yesterday looked:
B – 1 cup fresh strawberries, 1/3 cup all bran buds, Satisfaction yogurt
Snack – orange
L – veggie salad with caramelized onion and poppy seed dressing
Snack – dill pickle
D – 4-5 oz baked chicken with diced tomato, brussel sprouts with red onion, yam cut into fries and baked with seasonings & ketchup
Dessert – s.f. choc. pudding cup
Exercise – 30 min treadmill – 2 miles, 10 min abs – 285 cal burned.
Snack – 4 vegetable crackers

Still at 148.2 this morning so crossing my fingers for tomorrow and I’m going to try and stay away from as much salt as possible today. I actually got up and went on the treadmill this morning – 30 min, 2.5 miles followed by a long stretch. It’s crazy how much more awake I feel when I get up and exercise first thing. I wish I could force myself to do it every morning until it became routine. Maybe one day.
 
Yesterday was a decent day. Lately I feel like if I don’t get at least a 500 calorie burn during my workout I haven’t done enough so the past two days felt more like rest days then workout days – I know this is wrong and I shouldn’t feel this way but I’m just so motivated to lose some more weight before my trip.
The meditation yoga I went to last night with my sister in law wasn’t for me. I’m glad I experienced it but I won’t go again. There was really only 20 minutes of yoga moves and the rest was chanting, meditating and then for 30 minutes she rang this huge bong. There was an older man beside me that kept farting and when it was time to chant his chanting was slightly off so it was very distracting. I didn’t feel like I got anything out of it and I wish I would have went to the gym instead. My sister in law loves it and I just don’t understand.

Here’s how the day looked yesterday:
Exercise – 30 min treadmill – 2.5 miles, stretch – 320 cal burned.
B – 1 cup fresh strawberries, 1/3 cup all bran buds, Satisfaction yogurt
Snack - apple
L – big veggie salad with 1 can tuna & ff dressing – romaine lettuce, cucumbers, black olives, green onion, orange pepper & cherry tomato’s.
D – ½ can Campbell’s tomato & rice soup, 2 slices WW bread, 1 can tuna, 1 tbsp light mayo, chopped sweet pickles, green onion, ff cheese slice – melted in oven.
Exercise – 1 ½ hour meditation yoga
Snack – 5 rosemary, raisin & almond crisps

I’m hoping for a good weigh-in today!! I was 146.2 on my scale this morning!! That was also after I got up early to do the treadmill again!! I even woke up before my alarm was going to go off and normally when that happens I’ll change my alarm instead of letting it go off and hit snooze but this morning I jumped out of bed early and hit the treadmill. I got in 60 min- 5 miles and burned 652 calories! My plan for today was to burn 1000 so when I get off at lunch I’m going home to do level 1 and 2 of 30 days shred and that should bring me up to 1000 calories.
We’re going to a friend’s surprise 30th tonight and I’m so excited to party! It’s been a long time since I’ve really let loose with all our friends. I don’t even plan on drinking that much but I know there is going to be all kinds of temptations there and I can’t say I will resist them so that is the reason for the extra workout today. I’m trying to aim for what I did last weekend and make tonight my cheat night and the rest of the weekend will be good. We are going to a friends house for poker Saturday but as long as I stay away from the booze I should be good. If not I’ll have to knock out another power workout Sunday!
Hubby suggested going to a lunch buffet after my weigh-in today for lunch but I told him we were going to have lots of treats at the party and that we should just go to Subway for lunch instead! The old Lisa would have jumped at the opportunity to eat at the buffet – meatballs, perogies, fresh buns, pasta galore – but nope not for me! The buffets can wait till the cruise. I’m determined and focused to do well before I leave. It will only make me enjoy the trip more and it’s one less pound I’ll have to lose when I get back!
I’ll be back in two hours to post my weigh-in, cross your fingers for me!!
p.s. – still training so that’s why I haven’t had a chance to post in most of your diaries. I do get a chance here and there to read them though so I’m staying up to date.

Janvier – I was sad to see you were going through a tough time and thinking about quitting but I’m glad you turned your attitude around and finished the week strong! I could never imagine starting a workout at midnight!
Tig – I’m so jealous you can do a pull up. I asked my hubby to get ours out again so I can give it a go – I’m always afraid to put all my weigh on it because I think it’s going to break.

CONGRATS!!!!!!! You are soooooooo close to 145!!! :jump:!!! I'm so glad I inspired you!!! I was down last night and this morning the trainer needs to go to court, so I have to bring it all on my own! I still woke up at 6:30am though! LOL!! :) I'm debating right now to workout, or sleep!? LOL! :D! hmmm.... I did polish off a bottle of red wine yesterday. :/ Early dinner at 5pm, veggie sandwich, and also a whole bar of dark cocoa chocolate bar. Was feeling big and down. LOL! Today NO MORE!!! :D! Feeling strong! I am very motivated by you!!! I have just had 142 on my mind like crazy!!! That was my ever lowest that I could maintain. I want it and you are ALMOST THERE!!!! Great job woman!!!! Ahhhhh!!! Great FOCUS on staying away from the booze and from buffets! Fuck that. Buffets sabotage our work! I don't like buffets, period. LOL! Automatic food comas after! Way to push it, Lisa!!! You must be TINY!!!!!

I am motivated by you too so let's make sure to keep it up especially when I get back! Maybe at that point we'll be at the same weight again.
I was actually hoping my measurements were down today but no change from last week - maybe by next Friday.

I'm SO PUMPED right now!!!! I don't know why it excites me more when the WW lady tells me my weight than when I see it myself on my scale but she said 146 even today!!!! A 2.6 loss from when I weighed in last! Time to update my ticker - 145 is very doable for next week and maybe even get to 144!!!:party:

WOW Lisa... I'm seriously so happy and proud of you! I am sorry that I haven't been around as much lately, this past week was just really crazy but now things are settling down and I'm ready to rock out these next 12 days before I leave for Florida! You probably weigh less than me right now with all the partying I've been doing... i yi yi! :willy_nilly: But your hard work is finally paying off after struggling for a while there and it must feel great to be able to have better control -- more importantly, knowing that when you slip a little, you are AMAZING and picking yourself back up and coming back strong. You have proved to everyone that you are a fighter! I love how easy it is for you to find your motivation again after your bad days or weekends. You better take TONS of pictures on vacation because I know you will be looking AWESOME. Work it girl! :hurray: Hope you had a great weekend, I'll try to stop by more this week. Truth is, I read your diary every day... and I'm always cheering you on! I'm ready to have a great week again so let's push it and stay strong before our trips!
 
Lisa, that is awesome!! 146, yay!! And getting up early for the gym, when I know you struggle with the early mornings??? You are kicking butt! You deserve the carefree days on the cruise more than anyone, you've worked so hard. So happy for you!!

This weekend was horrible eating wise but I really kicked ass with my workouts. I hope I maintained at least. I woke up yesterday with a cold - sore throat, sore lower back, head congestion, cough and a lingering headache no amount of Advil will cure. I took the day off and rested and didn't workout - for the first time in a long time. It felt weird and now today I'm more sore than I have been in so long. Everything hurts. Might take another day off before I really push it to the end. Watching my eating again though so hopefully I don't gain. Here's how the workouts looked:

Friday - 5 mile run before work - 650 cal burned, level 1 & 2 30 day shred before I went to the party - 462 cal burned! Ate way too much food at the party and felt really sick and full - so much that I couldn't even lie down.

Saturday - woke up around 10am and did 2 miles on the treadmill before getting in the shower and heading to town with my sister in laws. Got a day pass to the gym they go to and did another 3.2 miles on the treadmill, 15 min on the elyptical and some walking out push-ups & situps - burned 570 calories. Ate well all day but then went out for dinner with hubby and got into the drinks and aps.

Sunday - woke up early again and headed to town to get our taxes done. Came home and napped until dinner time. Hubby made tacos and I was trying to be good so I only had one. Got on the treadmill afterwards and busted out 4 miles and a bunch of strength moves with my new 8lb hand weights - burned 550 calories. Ended up eating a bunch of crackers and cheese and totally stuffing my face before bed.

Monday - woke up feeling like crap - totally did it to myself too. What happened to my focus!!!!:banghead: Tried to drink a bunch of water to flush out my system but it didn't work and I'm totally bunged up.

Haven't stepped on the scale but tomorrow I will face the music. Might go home early today if I don't stop coughing. I hate leaving such a positive message and then coming back and leaving such a negative message. I almost didn't come on today but that would have been wrong. Nothing I can do but start fresh today and water, water, water!

Thanks again for all your support - I have so much to do at work before I go on holidays as I don't have relief so I'm not sure how much I'll be by this week. I'm starting to over stress a little with all the things I have to do before I go - deep breaths Lisa.
 
*hugs* Don't worry about the bad choices you made over the weekend, look at all that exercise woman! You're a machiiiiine! A few slip-ups wont be enough to sway the scales when you combine it with all that working out you did! Don't stress, pretty :) All will be fine!

Blah...I’m now 100% sick with a bad cold and barely sleep last night because I was up coughing. I even took that disgusting tasting Buckley’s that is supposed to work every time and guess what… it didn’t. Even though I was feeling like crap last night I managed to get a hold of my cravings for comfort food and even got a workout in. Here’s how the day went:

B – apple, 1/3 cup all bran buds (I didn’t have yogurt or milk at home to eat with these but I REALLY needed the fiber so I ate them plain.)
L – 1 can Campbell’s herbed chicken with brown rice soup.
D – 4 oz boneless pork chop, ½ cup brown beans in tomato sauce, 1 sm cucumber sliced
Dessert – ff activia yogurt (hubby went grocery shopping while I was at work)
Exercise – 3.2 miles treadmill (4.2 mph & 7 incline), 20 walk out pushups, bicep curls with lunges, 30 sit-ups, 45 chair dips, a few other strength moves that I’m not sure what they are called – sorta like rows I guess – 66 min, 450 cal burned.
Snack – apple

I also drank around 4 liters of water and two large peppermint teas. My system is so backed up right now that my lower back has been killing me for days. I took a few pills last night that are supposed to get things working by morning and still nothing. I think it’s from all the sugar in the cough syrup and all the different medications I’ve been taking to make my cold feel better. Mixed with all the bad food from the weekend and my system decided to shut down. I’m doing everything in my power to stay positive and flush this cold away. Only 4 sleeps now!
Oh and I didn’t bother weighing myself because I know I would be disappointed – maybe after a few good washroom breaks and I’ll be feeling good again. I know I should face the music but I’m trying really hard to resist comfort food right now and seeing a bad number might just put me over the edge.
I wish I had more time to catch up with you all. If I didn’t have so much work to do before I leave I would be at home resting.
 
Sorry to hear you are sick. My son is so sick he has to have breathing treatments three times a day. Last night my daughter was coughing all night so I guess she is getting it too. I hope I don't get it because I'm less than a week away from bringing cardio back into my weight loss plan.

Keep working hard yourself! Hard exercise will certainly offset bad eating to the point where as soon as you get your eating in check again, you should see a drop in weight after a day or two.
 
Awww Lisa hon, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well.... Hope it turns around and you are back in tip top shape before you leave on your trip! It would really suck to be sick on your honeymoon!

I made crappy food choices last Friday thru Sunday and it totally messed up my plumbing too. Took until yesterday for thigs to clear out. I feel SO much better now and dropped 5 lbs in a matter of hours - imagine that!

Oh dear :( I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Please get a lot of rest before vacation! It's probably the best thing you can do for your body being that you don't have much time before you leave. I don't know why you are so afraid of stepping on the scale, your workouts look great and yesterday's food log looks perfect!
