Great Ideas, but...
Hello, new to the board and to fitness (and having a great time and excellent results!).
I came across this forum because I was looking for "Homemade gym" ideas.
I like what I saw, although a word of caution.
I am in the PVC business and it's amazing to see what people buy PVC pipe and fittings for (beyond the norm); everything from making plant stands, to making actual working cannons!
Please be aware, PVC, especially Schedule 40 and lighter WILL SHATTER under unusual stress and use. When it breaks it frags and leaves sharp edges.
This can be really dangerous, especially when used as outlined in the ideas shown.
Now, I'm not trying to throw shade on ANYONE or these great ideas, just be aware.
If you do use PVC, I suggest the dark gray pipe and fittings, also known as Schedule 80.
It's stronger and heavier, although still not made for this type of use, in MY opinion, safer.
BY ALL MEANS PLEASE DO NOT USE LIGHTER PIPE LIKE CLASS 315 OR CLASS 200! IT WILL BREAK NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!
Thanks for the ideas and keep it safe!
