Home back Exercises

I was just wondering if there are any good weight training exercises to strengthin the back that can be done at home.

I don't have a bench but i do have free weights. =]

Um well today i wanted to work out at home because I cant get to the GYM so I was just wondering what sort of exercises i can do for the back at home.

Thank you the website was very helpful I found a few that are possible without the use of any machines. =] just what I was looking for.

Thanks.

well I was going to do Back, Abs, and Sholders today.

I tried few days ago full body but it takes so long and i mean the other day i was trying it out and by the time i got finished with biceptts, chest, tricepts, and legs I could hardly do anything else.

ahh this is so complicated. I was in the GYM for almost 2 hours and i still wasn't done.

By big compound exercises do you mean like one exercise which will work out 2 muscles or more like that?

Okay how about this

Leg Press 3x12
Lying Leg Curls 3x12
Bench Press 3x10
Cable Seated Row 3x12
Lateral Pull Down 3x12
Cable Sholder Press 3x12
Sit Ups 3x50

i tried to include everything it said in that tutorial.

you should have these exersices in you're program

Squats
deadlifts
military press
bench press
rows
pullups

okay

Leg Press 3x12
Deadlifts 3x12
Lying Leg Curls 3x12
Bench Press 3x10
Military Press 3x12
Cable Seated Row 3x12
Lateral Pull Down 3x12
Cable Sholder Press 3x12
Sit Ups 3x50

thats all the lifts you need.. ditch the leg press, do squats instead. you dont need cable shoulder press AND military press in the same workout

Deadlifts 3x12
Squats 3x12
Lying Leg Curls 3x12
Bench Press 3x10
Military Press 3x12
Cable Seated Row 3x12
Lateral Pull Down 3x12
Sit Ups 3x50

So is this a good routine?

On the situps, i dont think it is healthy to do 50, because if you can do that many it means that its too easy and you need weight resistance. Abs are like any other muscle in the body, would you work failure to your biceps? No right, so same with abs.

Try putting some resistances so its harder.
thanks

Ditch the 3x50 with situps and add some weight to it like how Soccergod explained it.

Also ditch lying leg curls, they really don't do nothing for you instead do Lunges. After that your routine looks fine to me.

So are leg curls not recommended at all? I do standing leg curls. It seems to me that lunges do more for quads than hams.
