Bicycling is a addiction. My cannondale has seen more miles than my car. Before you know it you will feel guilty if you even drive your car. People will ask if you want a ride, and you will choose your bike. Weather will be no object either, you will find yourself biking in rain, snow, sleet, and you will love it for the challenge. You will laugh at the people in grid lock traffic as you whizz by in the third of the time. You will slide down allys, cars drivers wouldnt fathom to go. The bicycle will become you, and you the bicycle, a mere extension of your limbs. Ok, I am a bit of a bike nut, I do admit. But it is a wonderful form of cardio and transportation. I have loved it for years, and I commute almost exclusivly on a bicycle, and have for years. I have panners I put on to pick up groceries etc. You see the world in a whole new way from a bicycle.
I do agree with on how lazy people can be. I say why drive, when you can walk, and bike. I see people circle blocks over and over again, so they can find the perfect parking spot. We talk about exercise so much, but there are real simple ways to stay fit. Its called walking and biking for normal things in life. It is no wonder why obesity is such a problem nowdays. If one eats a clean diet, and walks and bikes as much as they can for there everyday living, I would imagine the actual workout regime wouldnt have to be alot, for maintance anyway.
Plus whats better than taking your bike to do your errands, and you be guilt-free, no emmisons, no oil. Only thing burned is calories and fat.
