Hi newcomer need help to lose weight (tips or diet plans)

Hi i m Daniel and im 17 years old ,in these recent months i tryed 3 times doing diet but without success

i m very incomfortable with my body and i really wish to lose what to get a slim body or at least not a fat body

I know that i dont have a strong will and i tryed to motivate myself but i just cant i got a problem with my self esteem my is very low

And example with girls when your fat they are like they don t want to talk to you and stuff like that .I have problem to find clothes that fit me too .it s really hard to find people like me i dont have friends with the same problem .they all have a great body and when i m ou with them i feel very inconfortable if you know what i mean . I tryed to accept myself for what i am but i couldnt .

but anywayz i wish some help to succesed this time my problem with diets are that i alwayz feel hungry and i dont go for walks or gym i stay at home on this damn pc and this is very bad ,i can t afford to go at the gym because its expensive here where i live and with my work i cant get enough money for now.


Sorry for the long post ,do you have any tips or advice/diet plans that could help me out.

bdw i dont like vegtables :/ (tryed many times to eat them but no luck ).


this year i m going to higher school and i wish that at the end of the summer i would lose weight

Learn to love vegetables, They make a meal far more filling and far more healthy. No down side.

I'm no great fan of plain boiled vegetables on a plate, but cook em right or pair them with a good (but still healthy) sauce and it makes all the difference.


Plenty of other things you can do to aid weight loss, but it'll be a constant struggle unless you can get past that.

Welcome to the forums Daniel,


A few tips and tricks that might help along the way:


Limit the size of the meals you're eating. Seems like a small thing but when I started using a smaller plate it helped me train myself to eat smaller meals.


Get moving. Gym memberships can be nice but they really aren't required. The best piece of exercise equipment in the world is your own body. Start by going for short walks, do whatever exercise you can at home like pushups (do them from your knees at first if it helps), sit ups, jumping jacks, squats etc. Don't have to make it an hour long commitment at a time, start by doing a bit of exercise while you're watching TV or in front of the computer.


Plan your meals in advance. If you make your meals in the evening for the following day, staying on track with what you're planning to eat gets a lot easier. If you leave it until the last minute, you'll find yourself scrambling to throw something together quick or end up grabbing something quick and possibly unhealthy while you're at school.


Start trying new veggies. There are a lot of different types of veggies out there, so maybe try out different ones until you start finding some that you like. I'm still struggling with this one but I've found that if they're mixed into a stir fry or I keep trying new veggies I'm gradually finding ones that I enjoy.


Start dropping some of the big culprits. Watch out for sugary drinks like soda and see if you can start replacing it with water at least most of the time. For the first week or so you can try keeping a food journal of all the foods you eat in the run of a day and start posting them on here for suggestions on more changes you can start making.


Start setting some long term and short term goals. Figuring out where you want to get to and making a more concrete commitment helps get your mind in gear in working towards a specific goal and makes it harder to put it off.

Thx all for you help . Feelinggooderi will try the tips you told me. Soda like coca cola, kinnie and drinks like that i dont take i drink only water .

And sweets i dont take many just a few i know that i need to not take sweets anymore .

i will try doing the food journal too from next week i will begin this diet agian hope i will success .thx again
