hi im new please any help will be great !!!!

hi im new here and im starting my weightloss journey on sunday ive decided to go with south beach diet as it looks pretty healthy and im starting with a couch to 5k interval training programme. im male and 279lbs at the moment and my dream goal is 179lbs i really need to do this so any help would be really great. im posting the diet which i will follow to the t starting on sunday which is phase 1 which will last 2 weeks any input on how i could improve would be skill!!!!. im doing this for my family aswell as me as i have a 2 year old son and one on the way and all i seem to do is work and sleep im always knackered. :piggy:


Diet week 1

Breakfast
Vegetable juice
4 whites 2 yolk Scrambled eggs
Coffee with sweetener

Snack
Half pot of Low fat cottage cheese

Lunch
Tin of Yellow fin Tuna in spring water
Green salad with peppers
5oz orange juice

Snack
30 Pistachio nuts
Coffee with sweetener

Dinner
1xChicken breast
Cauliflower
Broccoli
1 pot Greek yogurt

Snack
1 pot Sugar free jelly

some of the guys on here have been very influencial cause i want to have a nice body ive always thought it was impossible till i seen some of you guys.
 
Every one has different ways of losing weight. What works for one will not work for everyone. The secret is as always..... burn more calories than you consume.
... find your BMR ( how many calories you burn by just sitting around) I am strict about logging my calorie intake, this is a great way to see if you are eating too much, or not enough. 500 calorie deficit a day is a good goal!

You CAN do this.... Good luck!!! we are all pulling for you!
 
Good luck! Starting with a diary is a good way to go, and like iq_rider said, counting calories can help, but some people find it doesn't. You have to find something that works for you. Hopefully this diet works for you :).

I know, I saw this place, and the before and after forum blew my mind away. It's so inspiring!
 
Heya and welcome. :)
I started my 'new eating plan' at the beginning of july and i started C25K on 14th july. Well today i did my first 20 min straight run and OMG you would not believe how proud i was of myself. I was always one of those people who would never consider running but the C25K is bloody awesome. It really really does work, i'm proof of that.
Take a look at my diary, i talk about it all the time.....I am now totally obsessed with running. It makes me feel so good!

Anyway, good luck with your journey and i look forward to following your progress!
