I was working out hard during summer and lost approximately 20 pounds! I've never lost that much weight ever in my life before, so I think this would be considered a major achievment, right? Even though, it's not the fully reached goal yet, because that is when I lose my remaining belly fat and man-breasts, etc. But now that I lost 20 lbs, people are telling me I look a lot smaller ( is that good or bad? hehe ) I want to be 'slim and fit,' not small..but whatever, I'm glad I lost the pounds. I hope to start working out again very soon ( I stopped working out for about 1 month after I found out that I lost 20 pounds hehe ) But I will start again so that I go can get fitter, look better. One thing I noticed about myself is that, I used to be SO shy and had lack of self-esteem and self-confidence. I'm starting to build up slowly by slowly my self-confidence now, since I don't feel as fat as before. Well, overall it's a pretty good achievement I guess. Thanks for all the support! By the way, since I am turning 19 pretty soon, what do you consider that my weight should be? 19 year old male at what weight? Thanks. Also, I lost the pounds, look smaller and thinner, but I still have my belly fat and man-breasts, hahaha, any ideas on making those go away? Thank you!:smilielol5:

Hi and welcome. Congrats on the 20lb loss. :)

It's hard to say what your weight should be - it depends on your height, your build, the amount of muscle you have, etc. A better guide is simply that of how your body looks and how much body fat you have.

I would suggest you read the sticky posts in the various forums, especially the ones on nutrition, exercise, and weight lifting. Those will probably be the ones that will help the most with getting your body to look the way you want it to.

The two areas you are talking about are the hardest to lose and usually take the longest. Check your body fat by going to a gym or getting on a newer scale that tests your body fat by sending a small current through your body. Once you have determined that you will know where you stand and how much you must lose.

It sounds like you are the right path and you just need to keep it up. Lose the remaining body fat and your body will take on the shape that you want. If you are looking to add muscle, then start a resistance training regiment and consume large quantities of high quality protein.
