Hi, I'm Zoe and I'm having the balloon fitted next Weds, I have been reading messages on here and see how people react differently and am obviously hoping to be one of the lucky ones! But am prepared for it to be tough to begin with but I really want to do this xx

Hi Zoe

I am having mine on the 7th so a week after you! At the moment I am on optifast. I was meant to do it for 2 weeks, but by the end of next week I would have been doing it for 4 weeksish. I have lost 7kg so far, but I am soooo over salads and vegetables!!!

In a sick way I am kind of looking forward to my 2 days of clear liquids just for the change! People are asking me if I am nervous. I dont think I am yet... I know what is involved with the endoscopy because I have had by pre op look see so I am not to worried about the actual procedure. I have a 2 friends in town that also have balloons so they have filled me in on what to expect post op and the need to take the drugs etc.

Started going to the gym again last week. I just have to remember how good it feels after! The next 6months are going to be about me and making weight loss a priority in my life! Good luck for Wednesday!!
 
Good luck. That's some pretty serious stuff you're getting done. I really hope it works and changes things for you.

Thanks for replying, whereabouts ru? Im in the Uk and getting mine done locally, im not nervous like you about the procedure I'm just hoping im not too sick etc after but if I am I will just have to focus on the bigger picture and the end result!
Be good to keep in contact and see how we both get on x
 
Hi Jasmine how ru feeling about getting it done? I have been so lucky was only sick once on the first night, slept fine and just had acid/heartburn really which seems to be settling. Day 5 now and feeling good.
Hope u get on well too x

Feeling a bit nervous now :) All ready to go for 8.30am tomorrow. I am on my second day of clear fluids which has been easier than the first day and so far I have lost 9.5kg on the pre op optifast diet. I have put in for all of next week off. I was thinking about going back next Wednesday, but I have nutrionist appointment next Thursday morning so I thought I would take the rest of the week off. I am glad you are going well post op :) My friend was pretty sick, but her daughter wasnt so I think it depends on the person. I will let you know how I go :)
 
Will be thinking of you and yes I think it is very much down to the individual everyone is different, xx
 
Hi everyone. Oh dear! I am a bit vomity and achy! Bad acid and didn’t get much sleep last night. Got home about 2pmish, I think I went in at about 10.30ish.

Sorted out the drugs this morning and have got a bit more organised with taking them and am feeling a bit better for it. Haven’t been drinking enough so need to work on that. I had reached 10kg loss yesterday morning which I guess 2 days of clear liquids will do that to you :)

No regrets though :)

Keep the fluids up and you will get better as the days go on :) Im day 8 now x
 
Hello everyone,

I am travelling abroad to get my balloon fitted and as everyone here... a bit nervous. Nevertheless I am looking forward to have the procedure done as I really need and want to lose the weight.
Will you please share your experiences with me? How much have you lost? Where did you get yr procedure done? Side effects?
I have a lot of weight to lose and.... not sure if a miracle will happen but this will certainly help me.
