Hi all. Same question and problem everyone else have :(

Hello,

I know there are so many threads out there of people asking about loosing weight and what not. I was going to post there, but didn't want to hijack others thread.

Like everybody, I am trying to loose some fat in my body.

Specs:

18, 19 in 2 months
6ft 2in
weigh about 208ish

I have always been going to the gym but EXTREMELY light and not doing much, and i've actually gain some pounds :sad2:

But recently, id say maybe 3 weeks, i have been trying to really focus on my workout sessions and my diet.

Lately, i have been going to the gym about 3-4 days a week (aiming for 4-6 days now). My workout session would start with a 16-18min cardio work out at a fast pace. After getting off all sweaty, i cool down walking around the gym (24 hour fitness) and then i move to work on abs. about 3 reps of 15 at 80lbs. After i do abs, i do some arm lifting on the machine same, 3 reps of 15 at about 80lbs. I then move on to chest work with the same 3 reps of 15 at 80lbs.

OCCASIONALLY I'll swim a few laps in the pool, but dont really like showing my fat -_-

Now on to my diet:
I tried calculating my diet within calories and carbs, but its hard to count home cooked meals. I try to eat very minimal of fatty foods, NO fast foods (quiznos and subway count?)

My day would be a bowl of cereal with milk or just plain wheat toast, for lunch usually a turkey sandwich (wheat bread, turkey, and american cheese. sometimes if i have it in the fridge i'll throw in lettuce). As for dinner, im asian so we eat white rice, which i try to eat VERY little of, and try to eat more of the vegtables and meat than rice. (usually chicken, sometimes beef, very little pork)

for fruits, i usually have a banana, apple or a mango.

and thats my day.

For drinks, i ONLY drink water, with the acception of milk in my cereal. no sodas, no juices (sometimes i'll have 8oz of oj).

sorry for the ultra long post, but as i was reading other peoples posts, helpers will end up asking these questions ^^ so hopefully i didnt miss anything.

Basically my main point of this thread is to ask if this is a healthy workout session at the gym and if my diet is okay or not (as in a good way to loosing my belly fat) All help would be greatly appreciated. thank you VERY much :)

I personally think that some things in your diet may have hidden fats a nd calories in them. Instead of wheat bread take it a step further and eat whole 12 grain breads and crackers like kellogs all bran crackers they are loaded with fiber and low in calories and they will subside your hunger.Whole grain brown rice instead of white.Eat chicken and fish a portion about the size of your palm. And fat free yogurt with granola. These are just a few changes I would make.:action11:
