hey , legs..

hey, im really into the whole body stuff, like i want everything to be worked
and all of them to be similarly developed, u ge my drift,
now legs, i work them alot, presses, extensions, raises, leg curls, squats deads
but i cant get those thighs like the body builders, like the massive tear drop all the way down your leg and the grooves and cuts into the leg.
i wanted to no if thats just a time issue.
and also i head squats and deadlifts rnt good for me coz im young, (15) cause it puts pressure on the spine, which can affect u in older age..
some crap lkie that..
hopefully ther isnt any truth to that.
comments thanx :)

ps. sorri bout msn talk

as yuor only 15 stick with basic lifts to add genral mass before isolating anything...yes that means squats, deadlifts, rows, benched, chins and shoulder presses...only bad technique will hurt you not the actual exercise

I agree with swan, also stick with higher reps, 12-20 for a year or so. And all the stuff you mentioned is just a case of having a lot of muscle mass and very low body fat. It will come in time if you are consistant in your workouts.

really, you just wanna avoid working super low reps at your age, mainly 1 rep max's.

when I was in high school, we'd go for 6 or 8 reps on a lift, then use a formula to approximate your one rep max. if your estimated 1RM was high enough your name went on a board.

I'd also ditch leg curls and leg extensions unless you're just using them with light weight to stretch things out. leg extensions with heavy weight can do bad stuff to your knees, regardless of your age.

thanks guys,
yer i usually just throw leg extensions on the end of a workout and get 3 sets of 15 to finish it off,
i feel it the next day :)

thanks anyways

eeep, what would you define as heavy? Curious as I just started doing leg work.
