Thanks for sharing.

thnx guys!

just wondering to anyone who has been bulking, any common misconceptions? etc? i've been doing weight training as part of my weight loss, so i know my fair share, its just ive never gotten serious about the weight training part... like for starters i dont use protein, is that a must? i know theres no downside to it, but i dunno i just never felt the urge to take it

Good progress and for weightlifting i think SirPerdro has gotten into it so he a person you could talk to or maybe Steve even.

re the protien, make sure you are getting enough gms per day - best to ask Steve or google.
But basicly you need protien to make muscle, if you dont eat enough you wont be able too :D

Excellent job bro, I bet you get a lot of wows from peeps that haven't seen you in a while!

As for bulking, I would recommend 1 to 1.2g of protein per lean body weight. Supplements are quite unnecessary. More calories in than out = growth... though it might be tough to let yourself do that after having to diet down.

Also, and you probably won't read this anywhere else, I've had excellent results using superslow sets with lower weight. I know it's made a difference for me because I broke my arm 10 years ago and have had a terrible imbalance between my left and right sides since... the imbalance is almost corrected from doing superslow sets with dumbbells. Also never underestimate the power of flexing and posing in front of the mirror. Mind-muscle connection is very important... I had muscles in my left side (the side that I broke) in my back that I couldn't see in the mirror... I had to literally learn to flex them as they had atrophied from lack of use... now they're coming along quite well!

PS another Herbal Enthusiast like myself I see... hehe
