Heres where I am at, need advice

Ok so I'm a 19 year old dude and i'm definately not in shape, which is where I'd like to be. I'm tired of the the excess flab on my stomach and chest. I have a pretty firm build so as far as I know I have a good start since I wont be needing to bulk up or anything...Anyway I don't have a set workout routine or diet at all, which is where I'd like to get help from others...I'm open to almost anything as far as dieting and working out...I have a local gym that i have a membership to.

Take a look around this forum for both diet and full body workouts (or upper/lower split workouts). You'll find a lot of information for the newcomer.
 
Hi Balla,

If you are not familiar with free weights I suggest booking an induction at your gym with a member of staff to just go through the basics of what everything is. If you are familiar with them already you just to compile a routine. Also Diet will be 90% of the battle! You can do it!!!

Careful with this, your gym might have a crappy staff that shows you only the machines. Or they may give you retarded routines involving only bench press and bicep curl.
