so here are some recent pictures of me (i change my hair ALL THE TIME fyi).
i weigh about 160 and i'd like to lose about 30 lbs.
130 would be heavenly and wonderful and a dream-come-true.
i just wanted to get these pix out as reference.
i will post about three every month to document any weight loss (as if anyone cares that much but me!!).
but hell, maybe i'll motivate somone.

halloween. me on the right. duh.

any motivation or comments or tough love is appreciated.

I love the 1st and 3rd pic...totally hot.

I think it is just the outfit in the middle pic, any outfit that high up really requires someone rail thin to pull off.

:iagree:

You are a very pretty girl! :)

Good luck with the weight loss and keep us update. Your going to look even more smoking when your done!

Wow

You either hold you weight REALLY well, are really tall, or chalk full of muscle! You're so pretty! I weigh less than 160 and definitely don't look that thin.
Good luck on your weight loss hun!

Girl, you are SO cute!! (I mean that in a totally non-lesbian way, but if I was a lesbian, you'd totally be my type!) :D And Guitar Hero is like crack, haha. You and your friends look like you have so much fun.

I would die for that pixie hair in the second pic especially. Uber adorable. And you don't look bad at all!

Good luck on your goal in any case. I know you can do it!

:seeya: I think you already look great! But I know what it is like to want even more, so I wish you all the best on your journey!

cheers from :eh:

thanks so much for all of your comments.. i really do appreciate your input!

i am actually not tall... i am pretty average. 5'5"

i have always been pretty athletic. (basketball, volleyball, tennis, softball, and cheerleading). so maybe it is some muscle.
i know my calf muscles are huger than the average person's....?

i don't know.
i just know that my sister is moving in with me in may and she is a size 27/4 and i'd really like to be able to share clothes with her when she gets here. that is my goal!!

I think you look fantastic already!! :) Very pretty! Good luck Brit !

You might have a predisposition to put muscle on your legs...it's hard to avoid when you walk all day. You might also have big bones, comparatively.

That being said, legs have fat on them too...drop 15-20 lbs and youll have more slender legs.

You are far more beautiful with long hair. When your hair is short you go from sexy and hot to merely cute.

You might also have big bones, comparatively.

Big bones are a mith. I don't know how that got started.

You prolly just carry more muscle on your frame because of all your athletics. Thats the senseable answer. Best of luck on your journey 130 at 5"5 is plenty lean especially if you are carrying more muscle than the average girl.

You look great btw. Hard to image what you would look like -30lbs. You'll be fightning them off with a stick.

Big bones are not a myth and bone density is one of the calculating factors for BMR and RMR. It isn't even a predisposition, it is a phenotypic fact. Look at the size of people's wrists/fingers/cranium sometime.

Britnee, you look wonderful te way that you are now. Very youthful, and beautiful! Good luck! I can't wait to see the afters!

Thanks again to everyone for all the positive reinforcement.
I have been planning to start my diet tomorrow (sunday) since it is the beginning of a new week.
I just need some advice. Is it completely stupid to try and start weight watchers this close to christmas?
I am just so afraid that if I fail and overeat at a christmas dinner or something that I will be back to the "woe is me, i never get it right. just screw it and eat anything" stage.

But at the same time, i feel so ready to do this and lose this extra weight. I just want to know what you all think? is it a lost cause? i don't feel like i can wait much longer to get started, but i don't want to let myself down...

:seeya:While I have never been on WW myself, I have a few friends who have. Since you said you're ready and you seem determined, I wouldn't wait. It's still a few weeks until christmas which should give you some time to get into the swing of things. Are you going to go to meetings? I hear that helps people stay on track and I'm sure people at your meetings will have plenty of WW tips to help you keep within your points.
If you do go over your points, don't worry or stress out about it. Pick up where you left off the next day and keep on truckin! It's ok to have a few off days once in a while, as long as you don't give up. Don't let it get to you too much. Or you can always save all of your "extra" weekly points for that special christmas dinner!
I calorie count and I don't even plan on trying to count for christmas dinner. I'm just going to try not to snack all day, keep my portion sizes reasonable and know when to turn down that extra slice of pie. :) You want to enjoy your holiday, not stress about it!
Plus if you wait until after christmas, think of all the time before hand you could have been on your weight loss journey already!
Just my two cents...
Take care! And good luck!

You are too cute!!! I think you should jump on the WW idea. Why wait until Christmas. Also if you over eat at Christmas dinner the simple thing to do is get back on track at your next meal-it works so much better than the I will start next sunday or tomorrow.
I think you hide your weight really well i love the high waist skirt ourfit too cute and so my style! You can do it. Start a journal and keep begin from there.

Britnee, you're gorgeous already! I think you're one of the few pretty enough to actually pull off a short cut really well. It suits you :).

Big bones are not a myth and bone density is one of the calculating factors for BMR and RMR. It isn't even a predisposition, it is a phenotypic fact. Look at the size of people's wrists/fingers/cranium sometime.

Regardless, that may have little to do with Britnee's large calves. I personally have a very small bone frame in my upper body, including very small wrists. However, I've always had huge glutes and especially large calves and shins, regardless of the amount of weight I'm carrying (slim or heavier). The shins literally bulge right out if I flex them so in my case this seems to have little to do with bone structure.
