Here it goes. The beginning!

I can't believe I am actually posting these, but I really don't have a choice. I'm getting too unmotivated, and today for the first time in months I weighed myself. It's been my highest -- 233.5 lbs. When I saw that, I felt broken down like never before. I need to change, today, pronto.

My wedding is in 2 months, and I want to look good. My fiancee is in the army, and started off overweight himself but now looks great. I get jealous of him, in all honesty. I want to look great like that. :(. I used to be skinny, but my step dad came into the picture when I was younger and he was overweight himself, indulging himself in fatty foods. Then we moved to the US from the UK, and the US has fast food EVERYWHERE. A couple of years a go I became a vegetarian, but lately I've failed to keep the discipline that has kept me from eating meats. Even when I was a strict vegetarian, I ate A LOT of breads and pasta.

So, here are my before pictures. Embarrassing as hell and I cannot believe I'm doing this, but, I wanna make it. I want to be skinnier. healthier. happier. I need as much help as possible!

The fact is, I've been in denial. I see so many skinny people, I think in my head I'm like them. But I'm not... :[

I just realized how large this picture is. I'm sorry! I have to leave for work so I'll be right on it when I return D:

Don't worry about other people and there appearance you are you and when you make that big change someone somewhere will want to be like you. Not a view of "she's skinny, she's fit" but a view that "wow she looks so happy and healthy". Remember that being healthy is to be happy in the process of being healthy so have a mind set goal and try to achieve it without a negative view upon it.

There are many good nutritional information which can help you lose weight. If you think that you cannot keep up with being a vegetarian then don't which may then be a strong barrier to overcome. But many healthy foods contain meat which are mostly bases around lean meat.

Good luck ! :)

Congrats on deciding to make a change. I was 231 at my highest, and had the same kind of build as you do. I am down to 201 now, and although it isn't always easy it deffinetly feels good to see the numbers go down. Don't worry too much about what people look like around you, just concentrate on yourself and what you want to do. If you feel like you are craving something not so healthy, it's ok to have some of it. The key is some, and it makes you feel better to know you can control yourself to not over indulge in it. The toughest part of a diet is sticking to it, because you are going to have other cravings. It gets easier though when you see your hard work paying off. You are very pretty and I hope that you reach whatever goal you have set for yourself.

Good luck!
