Hey everyone. I am 30 yrs old 6ft2 and currently weigh 246 pounds. I am a recovering addict. I have 85 days clean. In my 5 yr addiction I gained weight, I used to be around 205-210. And in pretty good shape. Now its time for a change. I was up to 260 but that came off in residential treatment. So far I am going to the gym lifting weights and playing basketball. I don't have the best diet but I definitely don't overeat but still I need to eat healthier. This site is great. It is hard to post pics up of your flaws but you guys did it sooo. My goal is to get down to 205 that would be cool.

Congrats on your sobriety and good luck on the rest of your journey. I'll be looking forward to seeing more pictures :)

Its been a while but I lost 6 lbs so I'm down to 240 and have been lifting about 4 days a week I wish I could lose weight faster. Still clean and serene:hurray: 139 days

Awesome job! I think we all wish it would go faster, but, it's one day at a time. Congrats on staying clean, and losing those lbs :).

You can definitely see a difference. You can also tell that you gained weight later in life and not early -- your body is going to look pretty 'normal' at your ideal weight

GL and keep on doing what you do

I have lost a few more pounds I am about 224-225 so that is 21lbs since I started. I have seen a huge difference in how my clothes fit. I eat healthier, lift weights and do cardio. I don't drink soda or juice I only drink water and occasionally green tea. I even stopped drinking coffee. My goal was 220 now I want to get to 210 here are a few pics. 222 days of continuous sobriety.

I am also a lot stronger now. I can almost do 5 pullups before I couldn't do one. I want to do 10 pullups in 30 days from now.

Wow, what a difference! You can really tell that you have been doing a lot of strength training. I laughed when I read about your pullups because I'm doing the same thing with pushups - I could not even do one before (and I'm talking girl pushups here!) and now I can do 20 girl pushups, but only 3 real pushups... but still, progress! :) Good luck with your goal!

keep losing weight!

You can definitely tell you have a body build conducive to great after photos.

You could totally have a dream bod if you keep going :)

Awesome job, maui!

Congrats on getting your life back on track! You're definitely accomplishing some great things! You should be so proud of yourself
