Here comes the half marathon...

Hey Hanako, good on you for signing up for a 1/2 marathon!!!! I'd really like to do one too, just waiting for life to settle down a little at the moment, hoping maybe to do one before the end of the year! I love running!

Congrats on the kg lost!!!

Well done Hanako!! Congratulations! You have done great... Keep it going!

Maintain your determination and persistence. Am sure you will be able to hit your target if you keep it going.... of course, sometimes, we might resist a little bit of temptation... hehhe... but that's unavoidable.... Just adjust your next meal's planning to make up for it and drink more water to flush it out!

Wish you success!

Cheers!

Thanks wayne and luzdafuzz! I definitely recommend signing up for a half marathon, even if you think you could never finish one, its amazing how good I feel after only a couple of weeks and I still have 6 weeks to go!!

That said, I did feel so sluggish this morning. Had breakfast before I went for my run and I felt like I was carrying and extra 10kgs!
I just felt like I couldn't pick my feet off the ground. Surprisingly though, when I got home I looked at my stats and it was the fastest run I have done so far, burned 886 cals and went a total of 10.31kms (6.4 miles)
I think I might have felt so horrible because I had a day off yesterday and didn't eat very well.

My sister is coming to visit me for the next week and we have decided to do a fitness regime together.
It might be difficult because she can't run for health reasons, so I might be restrained, but I really want to help her because she split from her long term boyfriend recently and put on a lot of weight. Still hoping to eat perfectly and do some amazing power walks.

Feeling very sleepy right now and its only midday. But I have chores to do :(
Hopefully I'll be more bubbly later, I have to work tonight.

Oh My Gosh!!! I've been so terrible in the past week. I just want to apologise to everyone for what they are about to read:

So i've been completely slack first and foremost at writing in the forum, recording my calories and going for my runs.
I could just keep this to myself and leave it at "I failed this week" but I need to share so everyone can say "you failed, get over it and get back to it!"

My sister has been visiting and she really influenced my eating. I was too lazy to cook my own food and went for the easy options of mcdonalds, icecream, hot chips, chocolate bars, redbull, pastries...you get the idea.
We only went for 1 walk in the week she was here and it was only 6kms. The only other form of exercise I have done is painting her house, vigorously.

So while the marathon looms closer, only 5 weeks now, I have gained all the weight back that I had lost and then some. I'm also worried I have lost ground on my fitness and won't be as fit as I hoped for the event.

That's that, now lets move on!!!

MY OATH:
I will not give up.
I will run tomorrow morning.
I will continue my running for the next 5 weeks.
I will make use of my gym membership.
I will get enough sleep at nights.
I will cook nutritious meals, not be a lazy shit.
I will be looking smoking hot for my dad's birthday on the 13th of August.
AND I WILL FINISH MY 1/2 MARATHON IN 2 1/2 HOURS!!!

Sorry everyone, but I'm back!

Hey all.
So today I am packing my bags. Going on vacation for 2 weeks. Although I have fallen off the wagon a little, the good news is that my eating has improved and now im just getting back to exercising.
I'm heading home to re-coop and I'm packing my tennis racquet so I can have a hit with the family. Also packed are my runners, lots of workout clothes and lots and LOTS of warm clothes since its winter here and im heading further south!

I'll try to update as much as possible while I'm away. Can't guarantee anything though, hopefully I'll be having too much of a good time :)

Having a vacation is really great. For me I feel so revitalize after I had mine and it was a test for me on whether I will pack on the pounds or maintain it with so many good foods.
