Here comes the bride...6 months to go!!

Maybe the girl on fb hasn't checked her account in a while, and will get back to you. I know I go huge periods of time before I think about fb, maybe that's why my friends coundt is low, Lol. They should have girl and guys teams, that way you and your hunnie could play together. Hope you have a better day, and check on ya later.
Thanks njoyabl - actually I never get on facebook either because they block it at work and still no computer at home so I understand not going on for a while. They do have mixed teams in town but they are more beer leagues where it's just for fun and everyone gets drunk afterwards - not really for me - I'm more interested in the sport and I'm a little competitive!
That's exciting about the half marathon though! I'm in awe of you. Keep us posted on your training for that.
Thanks Mizzie - I'm super excited about it too! I don't really have a training plan yet but maybe after the wedding I will get more serious about it!
YOU SIGNED UP! YAY!!! :) I'm so excited for you! Your workout schedule looks great. I should make myself one.

Thanks Sarah - it's only because you were able to do it that I got up enough courage to sign up! Now I'm going to have to beat your time, lol and just kidding!! I understand mine is in September and hopefully it won't be 85 degrees outside!!
I am So excited that you signed up for your half-marathon! Thats huge! You must be so pumped about it.
Are there any other classes at your gym that you would want to take?
Thanks Janvier - I am really pumped about it and I'm glad I have something to look forward to after the wedding so I don't get the wedding blues. I'll answer your other questions in my daily post!
Half marathon! Amazing! Maybe some day... But anyway, how are you training? That's so great!
Thank you - I'm just going to keep up with the running on the treadmill before work and then try to get one good long run in a week and one 5km run where I work on my speed. When it gets down to the last month I will increase my running to a scheduled plan.
The weather is so nice, is there a swimming pool nearby, or a lake that you can for for an hour or so on days your hunnie is busy? I know you are gonna rock the swimsuit. Unless you don't like swimming.....
Actually my parents live on a lake so I do have access but it's still way to cold to go in. Hopefully by the end of June of early July it will be warm enough - I'm a little bit of a wimp when it comes to chilly water! I do enjoy swimming and this might be the first year since I was like 8 years old that I actually wear a swim suit in the water instead of shorts and a t-shirt!
Also - the new pictures you posted look excellent! The progress is SO noticeable. Be super proud of how far you have come!
Thanks Andy - I'm pretty proud too!! Thanks for stopping by!
Lisa, you look absolutely amazing! your gorgeous!!!
Great job, you're doing so well!!
Thank you so much - means a lot!!

Ok so bad day over - new day ahead! I have some great news!! I found a baseball team to play on and my first practice is Saturday!! I'm so excited! I took your advice and contacted the organizer and she found me a team! I should have just did that from the beginning! Oh well I thought those girls liked me but maybe I was wrong - hopefully my team will beat their's when we play against each other!!
So yesterday I was in a funk and my hunnie called to say he was done work for the day around 10am so I decided to take the afternoon off too. It was well worth it! We spent some much needed quality time in bed and even had a little cat nap together! Here's how the day looked:
Exercise - 30 min treadmill (2.5 miles)
B - ff activia yogurt, 1/3 cup all bran buds & 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
Snack - 1 cup mint green tea
Went home and ate the lunch I made for work - really had to fight the urge to go to Wendy's!
L - veggie salad (same as yesterday) w 1 can tuna drained in water with light olive oil & balsamic vinegar
woke up from my cat nap with hunnie and my mood had changed so much I decided to go to the gym! Was feeling great!
Exercise - 25 min treadmill (2.15 miles), 10 min rowing machine, 1 hr power barbell class - total body workout - so many squats, lunges, every arm muscle worked, thighs, abs, etc - it seemed never ending!
Snack - apple ( I was starving leaving the gym and so glad I had an apple in my purse)
D - 1 can Campbell's chicken and wild rice soup, bun w light margarine
Snacks - orange, s.f jello cup, decaf green tea w lemon
Ok so once again that should have been it. At that point I was 1 point over my daily WW limit but I earned so many activity points I kept thinking in my head I could eat more but really I wasn't hungry and just tired and bored.
Snack #2 - too many crackers w jam
So really I think I ate at maintenance but really not helping me lose weight this week!
I was too sore from barbell class to do the treadmill this morning but tomorrow there will be no excuse and I will have got my 3 mornings in as planned.
Yesterday it was raining so golf was cancelled and my hunnie's baseball game so I'm golfing tonight. It's not the best exercise but because it takes about 2 hours and we are constantly walking and pushing our carts I think it will do for the day. I also plan to stay under my WW points today no matter what! If I have to go to bed at 8pm I will!
I want to thank everyone for their support and trying to cheer me up yesterday! It really worked and I should have just stayed positive and known it would work out! I think even though I don't get a period because of skipping my pills I still get PMS - so I'm blaming yesterday on that, lol!!
Happy Hump Day everyone!

Hey Lisa, glad to hear everything worked out with the baseball team!! How exciting!!! Lol I'm waaay too unco for ball sports unfortunately...
I think I'm out of my funk now, yesterday was a perfect day and I'm feeling a lot more positive about today too!!

Have a great day (though it's Thursday here already lol)

Thanks Luz!

Ok so yesterday was a decent day - not perfect but ok. Here's how it looked:
B - ff activia yogurt, 1/3 cup all bran buds, 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
Snack - mint green tea
L - it's was someone's retirement luncheon so I picked the best choice on the menu I thought.
turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread w side greek salad (not sure how many points this would be - probably too many)
Exercise - 2 hrs golfing - 9 holes walking and pulling cart
D - 4-5 oz bbq boneless pork chop, yam fries w ketchup
Exercise - 5km run in 28 min!!! new record!! I warmed up in my house and stretched and then just took off - I felt like I could have kept going at that pace too - it was liberating!
Snack - decaf green tea w lemon, 6 thin slices hot genoa
So I could have done without the genoa because I'm sure I was already at my points limit since I went out for lunch but I just couldn't resist.
So this morning I woke up and decided to do a BOSU dvd since I was a little sore from my run last night and didn't want to overdo it. Well I got through the warm up and it kept resetting to the main menu -it was so frustrating! We already broke 2 dvd players the last couple weeks and this is the last one we have! So I hopped on the treadmill and did 1.5 miles in 20 min and burned approx 215 cal which is probably the amount of the genoa.
I checked the scale this morning and I'm still up like 4 pounds since last Friday!! I have been drinking lots of water but I still feel like I'm retaining a bunch of it. I'm sure the genoa didn't help things. I'm going to try my hardest to have a perfect day and stay away from the salt and hopefully not be up tomorrow for weight in - so annoying but I know I haven't been putting in 100%. Tonight is kettle bell and then I might have a sauna - does anyone know how this affects holding water - I would think I would sweat it all out. Not really sure though it might have the opposite effect.
Happy Thursday!

Ahh totally LOVE it when you get energy like that to just work out!!! Like you can go really hard at a high level for ages... but then you try to do half the amount the next day at a much lower intensity and you feel like you're going to die lol. Or that's what happens with me anyway!!
Keep up the awesome work Lisa!! Your food diary is looking really good!!

I've wondered the same about saunas..Anyone shed some light?! Awesome that you've found a team to play for--perfect excuse for lots of exercise, meeting new people and having fun at the same time!! Have a beautiful day pretty lady <3 x

Hey Lisa, your day didn't look bad at all, you made a great choice at the luncheon in my opinion, you could of had something way worse. Usually even the "healthy" options on the menus are stacked with calories- usualy in the sauces or dressings or cheese. You did your run in great time, congrats on beating your record! I hate when you have plans to workout and something goes wrong, thats what happened to me with my yoga dvd, it just made me want to go get something with sugar in it. But good for you for finding an alternative and jumping on the tredmill. I hope the sauna helps your water retnetion. I would think between that and all of your green tea it should flush you out. I ended up taking one of my moms water pills last night because my feet were so swollen i could hardly get my shoes on! I feel much better today, I could hardly get out of bed fast enough to get it all out this morning lol. Maybe if your sauna doesn't help tonight you should look into them at the pharmacy. I hope your day goes great today.

Hey girl! Nice work setting a new personal record for your 5k time! 28 minutes is great and you should definitely be proud of yourself. In my opinion, you had a great day yesterday so give yourself a little more credit! I'm excited for you to start playing on your baseball team. Hopefully it's not a bar league. That could get a little out of hand! Lol hope you're having a great day, I'll ttyl!

Lisa, I would loooove to run 5k in 28 mins. Congratulations!! That's really really good. I hope the sauna helps get rid of the water retention. I personally loove saunas and I feel so much more relaxed after I am out..Going to the sauna is SUCH a good way to end the week, IMO.

Have a fun weekend.

Keep up the awesome work Lisa!! Your food diary is looking really good!!
Thanks Luz - I do feel like I ate pretty healthy this week - it's getting better!
Awesome that you've found a team to play for--perfect excuse for lots of exercise, meeting new people and having fun at the same time!!
Thanks Hana! I'm so excited to meet some of the girls and get a good workout in! I want to show everyone just how strong I am and this time I won't be afraid to run the bases.

Thanks Janvier! Actually the more I thought about it I agree it wasn't that bad - I just really wanted to be under my points but I think I still did good. I took a b6 vitamin and lots of water and tea yesterday and I think it did the trick.

Thanks Sarah - I didn't time the seconds so it could have been 28 min and 45 sec or something but it's still better than 29 or 30 min! Your right and I thought about it more and Wednesday was a good day too - I have been craving bagels in the morning and managed to not stop on my way to work all week so I'm pretty proud of that too! I'm also really excited to start playing baseball! It's been so long since I've hit a ball with a bat but I think I should be ok with catching. I also know I'm going to be faster running the bases and have more confidence in doing it than when I played baseball in the past. I've never been in as good of shape - not even close actually! It's not a bar league and I've heard the women are actually pretty competitive so I think it will fit me good! Not that we will never go for beers after a game or anything, lol!

Thanks Juni - I was so sad it was broken last night and I couldn't have one. They had a sign saying a part is on order so I wonder how long that will take :( . But I think the water and tea did the trick because my ring fits normally again.

Ok so Thursday was a perfect day! I take it back and Wednesday was a great day too! If I wasn't so concerned with being under my WW points from going over so much on the weekend I think the whole week actually wouldn't have been too bad. I got a lot of exercise in and all my meals were healthy - it was just the damn late night snacking - really even it wasn't that bad. It really must have been all the alcohol from last weekend that messed my whole week up - I couldn't get the scale to go back down for the life of me. I was back down to around where I was last Friday so hopefully I'll be around the same when I go for my weigh-in. Next week I'm really going to aim for a loss. I even took my measurements this morning and there isn't much change. I'll have to go back and check because I really don't remember since last time but I think they are the same.
Chest - 34"
Natural Waist - 28"
Belly Button - 32"
Hips - 36"
Thigh - 21"
Calf - 14"
Arm - 11 1/4"

Here is how yesterday looked:
Exercise - warm up on the BOSU, 20 min treadmill (1.5 miles)
B- instant reg oatmeal w 1 cup frozen blueberries
S - mint green tea
L - veggie salad - garden greens, carrot, cucumber, green onion, black olives, red pepper w ff tomato, oregano dressing
D - 4-5 oz bbq chicken breast, grilled asparagus, 1/2 cup brown beans in tomato sauce
Exercise - 1 hr kettle bell class - it was a good one and I used the 26lb bell for all the one armed swings instead of switching to the 18lb bell! We did sooo many burpees - I'm actually getting pretty good at them and can do like 12 in a row without stopping - when I first started I had to break after 2!!
Snack - decaf green tea w lemon, apple
And that's it!! I finally did it and actually didn't go to bed till 10:30 pm too which is really good for me. I could feel the hunger in my belly this morning though and it was a good feeling as opposed to waking up feeling bloated. I also woke up twice to pee so that was good - I know TMI!
Ok so I'm going to try really hard to not get upset with my weigh in today - I know I'm doing really good and managed to finish the week really strong and my workouts have been really impressing me lately - like this morning I'm not even sore and I feel like I've been doing a lot. So I'm just going to have to have a better weekend than most and do the same thing next week and then I know by Friday I will be down - I'm waiting for the whoosh again!
Post soon after my weigh-in! I'm hoping for a miracle and maybe my scale at home is off this week - one can hope!
Oh and I made it on the treadmill again this morning! 4 mornings out of 5 is great for me! I hope to keep that going! I feel so much more awake in the morning after a good sweat!

Nice work! You HAVE done great this week and your workouts are ALWAYS impressive :) IDK if I told you... but I was shopping at Target the other day and went into the workout isle... I was looking at the kettlebells and picked up the 25LB one and said, "HOLY SHIT" (lol for real) and thought to myself Lisa can hang on to this?!?! LOL

Good luck at weigh in, I gotta run! Have a great weekened too!

Are you sure it was 25 pounds or kilograms? Really because almost all the moves involve the hips and legs it's not really that hard - I think I'm ready to move on to the 36lb bell for the two armed swings but the bells are limited and usually the boys grab them. I love it when a new guy joins the class and uses the same bell as me - makes me feel strong, lol! I think you could totally do the two armed swings with the 26lb bell if you tried!

I am POSITIVE it was 25LBs lol :D The only reason I picked it up was because I had to see what you were workin' with! I have a 10LB kettle bell at home that I use. I could maybe go up a few pounds but JEEZ I'm not sure I could go that high! haha

Stayed exactly the same - I was happy I wasn't up but I wished I could have been down. Oh well next week will be my week!
Tonight is a friend's shag so I plan to have a few drinks and one of my hunnie's friend's is bringing over some fish he caught recently and we are making fish taco's so not healthy but I'm being really good today and did the treadmill this morning and plan to go to the gym after work.
Saturday I'm hoping to make it to Kettle bell again and then have a baseball practice at noon. My mom told me she'd come over and help me plant some flowers and tomato plants in my flower beds because it's pretty ugly weeds right now and I just don't have the motivation to do it on my own.
Sunday I'm going to a spinning class that I used to go to every now and then. A lady I used to chat with there called me this week and asked me if I wanted to meet her. I thought it would be a good reason to see her again and get a good workout in too. There is also a pool in the same building so if I pay the day membership price of $7 I get to go to the hour of spinning and then have use of the pool. It's a big one with different lanes for people doing laps so I hope to spend 30 minutes in there doing laps.
Nothing planned for Saturday and Sunday night so hopefully nothing will come up and I'll be able to plan my meals with hunnie on the healthy side for a change!
I really wish I wasn't at work today - it's dead and there isn't much to do. Well there is stuff to do but I'm not in the mood. I feel like shopping or going to the gym.
Have a great weekend everyone. Chat with you all Monday!

Hey Lisa

Glad to hear there was no gain!!! Next week we are both gonna have good loses!!! We can do this!

Lisa, it is almost time for your wedding! :) That is so exciting, you're going to be so beautiful on your wedding day!

You are so close to your goal, a no gain week is a good week. Next week you'll see a loss, I'm sure of it.

Lol, I did about the same thing as skkroll. I was in Target and picked up a 30 pound ball mostly because that's pretty close to what I've lost. I could hardly lift the thing and I also thought something like "holy crap, Lisa is going to use this?!?" :smilielol5: See? We are all in awe of how strong you are!

Have a good weekend!

Thanks Veronique - I'm going to try really hard and hope for some luck for a loss!

Thanks Shawna - I can't believe it is two months today!

Thanks Mizzie - that means a lot! Imagine using a 98 lb bell - that is what my instructor uses!! Now he's strong! Some girls in the class look like they weigh that much and I just imagine him picking them up and throwing them around!

Ok so Monday it is. Weekend is over and thankfully so. I love the weekends but sometimes I sabatoge myself so much I wish it wouldn't have happened and wish I could just start it over. Ok so here's how it went down:
Friday - worked out 30 min on treadmill before work, ate well all day, got off work early and instead of going to the gym I went shopping. Shopped for about 2 hours and then realized I didn't have enough time to go to the gym and get ready for people coming over for dinner. So went home did some quick cleaning and then my hunnie's friends started arriving and we made a huge fish fry. We had some fish taco's and asian salad and it was all so good! I ate too much and started on the drinks. We went to a friend's shag and this time I didn't stay away from the pizza at the end of the night. Got home around 2am and passed out.
Saturday - alarm went off to go to Kettle bell. Woke up drank 3 huge glasses of water and advil and didn't think I had it in me to do kettle bell and baseball practice so I went back to sleep. Set my alarm for baseball and when I woke up it was pouring rain. I decided to go anyway in case they were going to mention when the next practice was or first game but no one showed up. I sat in my car for about 15 min and then went to the store on my way home - big mistake. I got some of those skinny cow ice cream sandwiches and a pack of small butter tarts - only 100 each instead of 500 but still I ate 4 out of the six and 2 ice cream sandwiches. When I got home I went back to bed. I pretty much slept all day and woke up to eat something horrible and then went back to sleep.
Sunday - woke up to my alarm to go spinning. Actually got up and went! I decided I was going to have a perfect day and forget about the rest of the weekend. Did 1 hr spin class and then went into the pool to do laps. I did about 15 min straight of laps but my bathing suit straps kept sliding down because my bathing suit is size 14 and a little too big now. There was a man sitting in the spectator section and he had his cell phone out and I was paranoid he was going to take a pic when my straps fell down and I would be on utube later in the day so I just left. Went home and made a veggie salad w tuna and got ready to go into town and get groceries and some plants for my flower beds. Hunnie picked up Reece Peanut Butter cups and I couldn't resist and had 2. I told myself I wanted to have a perfect day and as soon as I seen the junk I wanted it - no one was twisting my arm.
We got groceries - all healthy stuff except hunnie wanted chicken nuggets for dinner. Got home and spent 2 hours in the flower beds and then about 2 hours in the house cleaning because I am having another shower planning meeting at my house tonight. Hunnie made fries and chicken nuggets for dinner and I didn't even argue. Two hours later I wanted a snack and was into the crackers and jam. Again went to bed feeling like crap and so mad at my lack of effort through the weekend.
I didn't even want to post today but I read a few other journals and got motivated again. Now I wish I could go home and exercise all day to do some damage control from the weekend. I was going to do the treadmill this morning but I still had some cleaning I wanted to get done. My cousin that was supposed to come over last time but never made it has promised to be there tonight so I had to clean every room because she has never seen my house and will want a tour.
I'm all packed for kettle bell after work - it's 4:30 - 5:30 so I will have time before my meeting at my house. I should have no problem being good tonight unless someone brings something I'm not putting anything out. Two months exactly today till the big day!!

Damn hangover days!!! I did the same yesterday - layed around unless I wanted to eat junk food! As you can read in my diary I didn't eat any better than you did :D You still got your workouts in, taking Saturday off was fine! I took it off too! Well.. I took yesterday off too... lol! But it's back at it again because the weekend is O-V-E-R! Have a good time tonight with your family... don't skip kettle bell! I want to hear good news tomorrow morning, ok? :)

TTYL Lisa!
~ Sarah
