:waving: OK, time for a fresh new diary to log my weight loss over the next 6 months while I prepare for my wedding. After the wedding I plan to go back to my old journal "Time to stick with it" but for now I will be posting here.
My name is Lisa and I am 5'6 and currently weigh 154.4 pounds as of today. My goal is to get to 135 pounds and I have 6 months and 2 days! I think it is attainable however it is going to take some hard work! I need to be consistent, dedicated and I need to have strong will power.
I will be counting WW points on my own because I can not currently afford to go. I plan to go to the gym at least 5 days a week and do a mix of cardio, classes & strength training followed by a good stretch every time. I also want to start waking up before work and doing at least 20 min on my treadmill at home 3 days a week. I need to have off plan days and I usually pick Saturday however I plan to do a Kettle Bell class every Saturday morning to burn some extra calories to allow for a little splurge. I will be taking measurements over the weekend and will update on Monday where my starting stats are.
Yesterday at the gym I did 30 min treadmill (2.6 miles), 30 min cycle class & some abs, side and back machines followed by a good stretch. I went over my points yesterday but it wasn't too bad. I reached my goals of going to cycling and drinking lots of water.
My daily goals for today and the weekend are:
Friday - drink at least 100 oz of water & take a class at the gym.
Saturday - go to Kettle Bell class.
Sunday - stay within my 20 WW points.

My plan for the weight loss is to lose 5 pounds a month for the next 4 months and then tone and maintain for the last 2 months. I am getting really excited about my wedding and have most of the plans under way. I will post a before and after pic to give you an idea of where I have come so far. Weight has always been a struggle for me and I imagine it always will - I just love food so much! Plus I like to socialize with a few drinks which usually follows with muchies so that is going to be my challenge going forward. :cheers2: I am up for the challenge and look forward to getting to a weight I have never been before. :hurray:
Have a great weekend everyone!!

I just started WW about 4 weeks ago..How have you found it? I just brought the points calculater which has made counting points easier but I still find it hard and end up guessing how many points are in something I dont have my calculater with me!!

Congrats on getting married--I'm sure you'll look stunning whatever weight you are.

Good luck!
Hana

Thanks Sunflower! I have been on the program a few times so I find it gets easier every time with figuring out points but your right I do end up guessing a lot of the time. I keep the points finder in my purse so I have it when I'm grocery shopping and find that really helps for picking frozen meals, cereals, etc. I like the flexibility of the program. I tried counting calories but found it to time consuming and confusing.

I had joined WW 10 mo before my wedding I had lost 22lb in 3 mo but then I got pregnant lol so the weight loss kind of stop there but I kept following WW while pregnant not to loose weight but to keep from going overboard. I too am following WW on my own and I am using this board as my group support. From what you have been doing it looks like you will meet your goal and them some!!!:hurray:

Yay for more WW users! I've been hunting around for others! Always feel like a lamb going to slaughter at the weigh-in :p I love all the frozen ready meals - apart from mac cheese which is VILEEEE. But the cakes and crisps are far too good. nom nom nom!

Anyway, good luck and I'll keep checking in on a fellow WW dieter!
Have a good weekend!!

P.S. that dress is beautiful!!

I like that you started a new diary! It might even help you stay on track more since it's more organized - the old one was about getting the weight off initially and then taking a step backwards - but this journal I feel like there's no turning back for you :D And I think you have a great plan set for yourself!

It must feel nice to be able to introduce yourself in this journal now with a much lower weight! Come on... 5'6" 154 lbs... doesn't even sound like you had any weight to lose in the first place!

Have a great weekend :)

Lisa you can do it for sure! Your a hard worker and you have such a positive attitude, you are going to do great and look stunning on your wedding day! I look forward to us motivating eachother over the next 6 months and finally kicking this weight to the curb for good! Have a nice weekend!

Thank you friends for your support and nice words! I truely believe we will all get there if we just stay at it!
Ok so this weekend was great for exercise - not so great for eating so overall I think I maintained which is better than gaining!
Friday - went to the gym after work - my boss even let me off 30 min early so I got a bit more time to really get my sweat on! I did 25 min elliptical (2 miles), 45 min treadmill (4 miles), 30 min core class!! Went home and stayed in for the night - pretty lazy and lots of snacking was done.
Saturday - woke up early for Kettle Bell class - 1 hour!! Came home and cleaned for three hours - sweeping, moping, washrooms, laundry, dishes, vacuming, etc. Had a nice long nap and then went to a friends house for some drinks- was drinking white russian's - probably the most fattening of all drinks! We had pizza for dinner and then on the way home we stopped to get chips and I got two butter tarts! I ate them both and in the morning I checked the wrapper and they had 540 calories each and 17 grams of fat!! I felt so guilty and gross! Plus all the pizza and drinks - not a good night!
Sunday - was going to take the day off from exercise but because of those tarts I got on the treadmill for 30 min (2.25 miles) and then did some push-ups and curl-ups on the ball. Went to a baptism for my maid of honours new baby boy and then came home to be lazy! Finished the chips I started on Saturday and that was dinner. Didn't do too bad with snacks after that but still went over my points big time! So all in all I reached 2 of 3 goals so that was pretty good but not great!
I don't feel too bad going into the week - a little puffy today from all the salt and not enough water yesterday for sure! I set my alarm to get on the treadmill this morning but that didn't happen. Looking forward to the gym tonight. Have a good Monday morning everyone!

Hello

I love the dress WOW!!!!!:hurray:

You are going to do great. I had a bad weekend foodwise too but today is the start of a new week, so it's time to step up!!!!! My trick for sticking to the WW points is that once I firgure the points value for something I write it on the box and tend to stick to that product until I get sick of it, just less complicated!!!!

Sounds like a pretty great weekend to me, but like you said we are going to really have to kick it up a notch (or 2 ;) ) this week.

LET DO THIS!!! :hurray:
Marie

Awesome work outs! I didn't even work out this weekend - and yes my weekend starts Thursday so that means my 4 day weekend of NO exercise! Eeek!

It's a new week... new goals.... let's make it a good one!

Daaaaang girl! you are an exercise machine! at the rate you are going, your results are going to appear super fast! best of luck to you, and keep that beautiful wedding dress first and foremost in your mind when faced with those pesky, tempting foods :)

Thank you Verobc, you are right about it being a new week and stepping it up!! I also do that with the points on the box - it's the food's my bf brings home that are the problem!!

I forgot to make a goal for today...hmmm let's see...ok my goal for the day is to go to the gym. I have been debating in my head all morning just going home after work and having a nap because I'm just soooo tired today but really that wouldn't be good and going to the gym will give me more energy than a nap will - so my goal is to get there - the rest is easy.
4 days without the gym!! Sounds like a vacation to me - hope you enjoyed it!

The problem is I eat just as much as I burn or more so there are no results! I know if I eat better I will see results - I do feel my body getting strong again and I like that too. Thank you, I do need to think of my wedding dress when tempted - I haven't been doing this enough! It's like my mind is blank and the food just goes down without a thought entering my head - until later...

Ok so I completed my goal yesterday and made it to the gym and even did an hour Kettle Bell class - it was different than the Saturday class because they concentrated more on strength than cardio but I was still sweating! My eating wasn't the greatest and I snacked too much after dinner again - will I ever get this under control? :cuss:I know I will not lose weight if I don't change this but I still manage to do it every night!! My meals were healthy and if I would have just been satisfied with that and the couple healthy snacks I picked out I would have had an awesome day.:smash:
Tonight I am taking a break from the gym however I plan to get on the treadmill and do at least 3.2 miles at home - this will be my goal. I have been so lazy lately - last night I barely left the couch after dinner and I had laundry to finish and should have done the dishes but I just didn't - even this morning I couldn't get out of bed and didn't even have time to shower - just threw my hair in a pony - packed some soup and left.
I have lots of the week left to improve and even drop a pound by Friday so it's time to stick with what I know and do it! Time to be strong and prove to myself I can do this - what's the point of kicking butt in the gym and ruining it by 9pm every night! It's time to drop the weight for good and change my habits - change my lifestyle - change my mind. I'm feeling good going into today and would really like to prove my strength!
Happy Tuesday everyone!

Same here, girl. IDK why it is so difficult to just finish dinner, maybe have ONE small snack, and call it a night! I think I'm going to have to start having later dinners. I ate at 5:30 last night and didn't go to bed until about 9:30 so you can imagine I was quite hungry! Ugh. I wish I had the same strength that I used to have in the beginning of all this :( It's so hard now being where I wanted to be in the first place though, but now knowing that I want to lose 10 MORE just seems impossible to me! I hope we can get it together and finish our journey! It seems like there's always some good news and always bad news...

Well have a good day!
